Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt’s an old building so the floor boards make a noise when people walk on them. The 4.30am call to prayer was not good.
Great location with a comfortable bed. The Turkish breakfast was really good.

ItalyThe only reason I didn't put a 10 is because of the squeaky floor. Though it was very beautiful to see a dark wooden floor, we could hear the people on the room above us walk and if there were people under us they would hear us too.
This hotel is at a great location, in the heart of odunpazarı and easily accessible by means of transportation. We loved the style of the hotel, it was super clean, beds were comfy, staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very nice, in a beautiful area of the old town, Parking can be a pain to find but the staff is super great and they will assist in finding a parking spot. The room was great and on the it fully met our expectations. The breakfast was also great. It is on the pricey side when compared to other options (since it is very affordable) but do not regret a bit booking here.

PortugalCreaky floors and generally noisy neighborhood (its to be expected as it is the city center) - we didn't mind it much but might be a problem for light sleepers. There is no Air-conditioning in the room (it was pretty pleasant at end of April so we just opened the windows and it was all okay)
Absolutely beautiful property with very traditional architecture. Super comfortable beds - don't feel like getting out 😅. Excellent location - within walking distance of bazaars and even parks. Lots of restaurant options in the vicinity. Fantastic breakfast spread - this was our first traditional Turkish breakfast experience and we absolutely loved it. Parking is available - but a bit challenging to get to.

PolandThe rooms were a little bit noisy. We came during weekday and out of touristic season so it wasn't a big issue, but during weekends it might be loud for light sleepers.
Perfect location in one of the old houses in Odunpazari. Everything you need for a short stay (restaurants, bakery, public transport, museums) is within a walking distance. The staff in the hotel was extremely kind and polite, we were allowed to checking a bit earlier than normal checkin time. The beverages and snacks in the room were market price and there was free water/tea and coffee in the room.

SerbiaNoise that is produced while stepping on wooden floor is too high. It is not problem only for me, when someone else steps in other room I can hear it, so everybody else could hear me too. It is not comfortable as you cant escape producing a lot of noise for basic needs. I understand it is old floor and it is authentic, I just didn’t expect it to be so loud.
Location is great, breakfast is great, they speak English which helps a lot. Free parking is nearby, and there is a number of restorants around.

RomaniaI think the hotel is pretty old and the rooms are not soundproofed. You can hear everything your neighbors are speaking. We had the unpleasant surprise to receive a call from the hotel reception with a request to lower our voice, but we were already in bed, trying to sleep. I guess they didn't get the real source of the noise.
The location of the hotel is in the center of the city. We enjoyed walking around and visit every souvenir shop in the neighborhood. There is no parking place reserved for this hotel, but in the nearby there is a free parking and the receptionist was so kind and came with us to the parking location so we can be sure that we have parked the cars in the proper location.

BulgariaFloor is wooden and old, walls are thin, you can hear the steps and conversation of the neighbours. Nearby there are few mosques and you can hear imam's prayer @ 4.20 at night.
Kind people, comfortable beds, the room is big enough for 3, free water, coffee & tea, authentic building and area.

RomaniaLocation is bad since is: very loudly (you can hear everything from the streets - windows closed of course; one tourist took a sneak peak over the window) Overall the floors are also making a lot of noise, you can hear everyone from the accommodation moving around in their rooms. Rooms where cleaned, but they didn't looked okay (probably lighting, probably the smell, probably the old look-a-like) There are cats that can sleep in your stroller if you keep in the lobby. There is no access with the car on day time (it was frustrating for a foreigner to try to find a way to get there). - Good thing there is a public (non-shady) parking at 10 minutes walking distance.
Location is good and bad in the same time. Good because you are in the middle of city centre. Staff was decent helpful like they should be, nothing out of the ordinary. Rooms where big.
