How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location with a comfortable bed. The Turkish breakfast was really good.
It’s an old building so the floor boards make a noise when people walk on them. The 4.30am call to prayer was not good.

Verified reviewThis hotel is at a great location, in the heart of odunpazarı and easily accessible by means of transportation. We loved the style of the hotel, it was super clean, beds were comfy, staff was friendly and helpful.
The only reason I didn't put a 10 is because of the squeaky floor. Though it was very beautiful to see a dark wooden floor, we could hear the people on the room above us walk and if there were people under us they would hear us too.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was wonderful and very turkish. The architecture also is very typical. The hotel is located in the heart of the ancient downtown of Eskisehir
Rooms need a little bit maintenance but basically hey are ok.

Verified reviewThe hotel was very nice, in a beautiful area of the old town, Parking can be a pain to find but the staff is super great and they will assist in finding a parking spot. The room was great and on the it fully met our expectations. The breakfast was also great. It is on the pricey side when compared to other options (since it is very affordable) but do not regret a bit booking here.
Nothing

Verified reviewLocation is good and bad in the same time. Good because you are in the middle of city centre. Staff was decent helpful like they should be, nothing out of the ordinary. Rooms where big.
Location is bad since is: very loudly (you can hear everything from the streets - windows closed of course; one tourist took a sneak peak over the window) Overall the floors are also making a lot of noise, you can hear everyone from the accommodation moving around in their rooms. Rooms where cleaned, but they didn't looked okay (probably lighting, probably the smell, probably the old look-a-like) There are cats that can sleep in your stroller if you keep in the lobby. There is no access with the car on day time (it was frustrating for a foreigner to try to find a way to get there). - Good thing there is a public (non-shady) parking at 10 minutes walking distance.

Verified reviewIt is in an old building, receptionists are polite.
The property is at the very upper edge of old Town with a fair distance uphill to bring your cases. The bathroom was very poorly lit and not that clean around the bottom of the shower. The room size was good but there is no air con just a rotating fan off the central light. Breakfast was good but no choice it is just served as a fait a compli, I prefer just a bit of melon or eggs and there was not this choice. It is beside 3 drinking establishments so noisy. There is no alcohol served anywhere nearby either in the bars or local shops.

Verified reviewNice old classic design hotel in the middle of the historical city.
We went in summer and it was very hot, no AC. In addition, the hotel is next to a bar/restaurant which has an auction until 1am so couldn't sleep.

Verified reviewA traditional house with large, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. Very clean and well maintained with excellent facilities and a great breakfast. We had a corner room upstairs which had lovely street views yet was quiet at night. Perfectly situated in the centre of the old town close to all attractions and easy to access from the train station by tram and a short walk. Staff were always available and were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Tufan and Jasmine.

Verified reviewThe hotel was very cute. I loved the art pieces in the dining room and the server was very friendly. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very beautiful, you feel like it has a special historical soul with its decorations and details. They gifted us with some fruit and provided some beverages ( you'd have to pay for the cold ones) but the price was very raisonable Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back again if we come back to Turkey.

Verified reviewAbsolutely beautiful property with very traditional architecture. Super comfortable beds - don't feel like getting out 😅. Excellent location - within walking distance of bazaars and even parks. Lots of restaurant options in the vicinity. Fantastic breakfast spread - this was our first traditional Turkish breakfast experience and we absolutely loved it. Parking is available - but a bit challenging to get to.
Creaky floors and generally noisy neighborhood (its to be expected as it is the city center) - we didn't mind it much but might be a problem for light sleepers. There is no Air-conditioning in the room (it was pretty pleasant at end of April so we just opened the windows and it was all okay)

Verified reviewPerfect location in one of the old houses in Odunpazari. Everything you need for a short stay (restaurants, bakery, public transport, museums) is within a walking distance. The staff in the hotel was extremely kind and polite, we were allowed to checking a bit earlier than normal checkin time. The beverages and snacks in the room were market price and there was free water/tea and coffee in the room.
The rooms were a little bit noisy. We came during weekday and out of touristic season so it wasn't a big issue, but during weekends it might be loud for light sleepers.

It was 29 degrees and no air conditioning. Not sure how people stay there in june/july. We could not open windows as were given ground floor rooms and cats were coming in through the windows. Windows had no nets.
