Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe room was a little bit dated, there is not double glazing so you can hear the traffic and there were some dirty areas in the room.

SwitzerlandThe coffee served at breakfast is terrible, the room is basic. For what it offers it could be cheaper.
The room is basic but comfortable. There is quite some noise from the street but it did not bother me. The breakfast is nice, it could have a little more variety especially in the cooked section. I used the gym once and it was small but decent. The staff is kind and tries to help. The location is central, many restaurants around and a nice small park across the street.

BelgiumI chose the New Park Hotel for the second time after a few years. The service, kindness of the employees, the amazing and extensive breakfast, the hygiene in the rooms, etc., were all excellent and on point.

PolandNasty coffee! It got much better on Friday, when huge groups of tourists left, they exchanged the big coffee tank for a smaller filter machine. Cleanliness of the room left much to be desired - dirty coffee table and bathroom counter.
The hotel was OK - just that. The staff was very nice, speaking good English, but the amenities were definitely not worthy of five stars. Breakfast was good (except coffee - see below), plenty to choose from. We did not hear traffic at nights (through closed windows), air conditioning was good (it was very hot outside).

United StatesWhile the hotel is not a real 5-star as some reviewers indicated, the breakfast was one of the best we had in the two-week's trip and we enjoyed excellent selections of different Turkish breakfast items. You can order omelet from several options and are very delicious, and the varieties of the cheese are plentiful. There is also a salad bar with good selection of bakery items and fruits. The staff are kind and helpful. The location is ideal, just across the street from the Kolej Metro station, and not far from the Kizilay square.

IranBreakfast was ordinary for this type of hotel and there was a bad smell in sauna.
Cleanliness was acceptable and it has also comfortable bed. There is a beautiful park near the hotel and you can find everything by walking about 5 minutes.

AustraliaWe booked a larger room but these rooms are on the westerly corner of the building. We were in Ankara on an uncharacteristically hot day in May which made the room hot - and the Airconditioning had not been turned on in the hotel. We changed to a smaller but more comfortable room with no further problems.
The New Park Hotel is conveniently located in Ankara within walking distance to most sites. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly helpful.

Turkey-Before checkout time, when you leave the room for breakfast and come back again, the room key does not open the door, housekeeping said that every time you leave the room, you need to open a new registration for the room at the reception and we did this way. - housekeeping often asks questions like when will you vacate the room, will you come back to the room etc.
-good location

BelgiumThere was a bad odor in my room that would not go away no matter how much I was trying to ventilate the room. In addition, my magnetic key repeatedly failed to open my room. I was even given a replacement key which then again stopped functioning soon. On several occasions I even had to get help from a cleaning lady on the corridor or return to the reception for support. It as not very pleasant.
Overall a very nice hotel, wonderful breakfast and mostly nice and professional staff.

RomaniaIt is not a 5 star hotel, even though it was advertised as such. The walls were really poorly soundproofed, you could hear the neighbors as if they were near your bed. This was particularly bad in my case, because the neighbors were especially noisy at really late hours, including in the mornings, the only time they were silent during the night was between 01.00 and 05.30. The hotel was very transited by these tours with busses, which were coming is at very "strange" hours and making a lot of noise, which combined with bad soundproofing, made it far from ideal.
It was comfortable, but it was not a 5 stars hotel. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. The staff at the reception took care of parking the cars, which was a bonus, considering the busy area the hotel is located in, and it was free.

GermanyThe decoration is a bit dated and parts of the room were worn but still ok. The air conditioning only heated, even if the temperature was set to 10 degrees. Nonetheless, the temperature could easily by adjusted by opening the window for 5 minutes. Even though eco-friendly habits are suggested by putting the towel on the bar, the towels were still replaced every day.
The room was really spacious with a nice and comfortable bed. A wide selection of pillows is offered to select from (two already put on the bed, which I used. More offered via a card from the room service). The room was equipped with a roomy closet, a small table with two armchairs and a kettle for tea and coffee. Two bottles of water were placed in the room for free every day. The spa with sauna and steam bath is nice and newly renovated. Breakfast in the morning offered a wide variety of food to select from. In the evening we went to the bistro/café in the ground floor which belongs to the hotel and offers also nice (bar-)food.

United KingdomRooms stink of smoke even in the non smoking rooms, had to move rooms 4 times as the room either smelt of stale smoke or the tvs didn’t work, also the staff on the reception are extremely rude and need to learn to be more friendly and smile more, if you are not Turkish they look down their noses at you and make you feel very intimidated.
Property itself is nice and rooms are nice , and the cleaners were so lovely and friendly even with the language barrier, also had the best massage downstairs in the spa.
