How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewGreat hotel, worth the little extra effort to get to. We (family of 5) stayed in one of the superior family rooms which was great, super comfortable and spacious with everything you need. The room also had a patio area with a picnic table and we could bring food from the breakfast buffet and sit outside and eat which was a great way to start the day. Food was great. The pool was great and a good way to break up the day and escape the heat, though it is small with not many chairs around it, so can fill up. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Verified reviewProperty was gorgeous, staff were amazing and so helpful. Burak put together a private wine tasting for us and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and we had different people come in to cook traditional Turkish food for breakfast.
The location, it was hard to get around without a car as there was no public transport except in the nearest town of Urgup

Verified reviewBreakfast was nice. We liked the lovely fresh hot paneer that the ladies made and the freshly prepared eggs. There was a large assortment of items to choose from on the buffet. Also our waiter Hakan was very friendly and gave us excellent service. I really appreciated the manager Burhan's service at helping me retrieve my jacket which I left behind in the hotel closet as he went out of his way to retrieve the jacket and is going to send it to me in the states. Service is very important in the hotel industry and he seemed happy to help also.
I should have paid closer attention to the hotel's location. The hotel is located in a very remote tiny village, Ayvali, very far from everything. There were no other restaurants available to us other than the hotel. There were a couple of restaurants in the village, but they were closed. We would have preferred staying close to the main attractions in Goerme that offered many restaurant choices, views of the fairy chimneys and the hot air balloons as they fly. All though others may prefer this quiet location especially if you have a car. The room we were originally given was large king suite, but dark since it is a cave after all. I was thankful Burhan, the manager on duty readily offered us another room, the Presidental Suite that had more light, windows, and a view of the caves, but it was a bit dusty and the bathroom tub and sink were dirty. All though this hotel offers up hand-crafted motifs and authenticity preserving Turkish culture, it could do with a bit of updating and deep cleaning. The hotel pool looked lovely, but it is not heated so we weren't able to use it. I'm sure guests will find it very comfortable and nice during in just a few more weeks.

This is in a central location but it’s in a town about 15-20 kilometres away from everything. We didn’t realise that when we booked. The hotel was wonderful but the surrounding town is run down. Not a problem if you have a car.

Verified reviewRoom was clean, the hotel was well looked after and good facilities! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, thank you so so much for making our stay a wonderful experience for my birthday! Definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed at, and unique, the breakfast was lovely too.
No fault of the hotel, but location. It is quite far (25/30mins) to Goerme, so if you want to do most activities based there. I would advise to rent a car. This gave us flexibility to explore around Cappadocia at any given time. The roads are comfortable to drive on if you are an experienced driver.
