It is the cave experience we were looking for. The updated and modernized bathroom was a welcome comfort. The bed mattresses and sheets were comfortable. We all had a very goodnight sleep every night.

The absence of door in the bathroom to separate it from the living room was a bit uncomfortable at first. We got used to it after a day though.

We cannot praise Gibos enough! Our stay was absolutely PERFECT! If you are looking for a genuine, authentic and wonderful stay in Cappadocia this is it! The hosts are part of what made our trip so incredible, always taking the time to help us plan our days, showing us all the best places and planning tours for us. Mustafapasa is the hidden gem of the area, we spent two days exploring it and fell in love, the valleys are PACKED with incredible caves, churches and trails! By far our favourite spot over Goreme, Uchisar, Urgup, Avanos.

Of my ten-day trip in Turkey staying at this hotel was one of the highlights. It was very authentic and friendly and the couple who run the place are wonderfully knowledgeable about its history so staying there was like an attraction in itself. We spent the morning hearing stories about the caves, learning backgammon and playing music with the collection of instruments the owners had. The cave room I was in was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with a powerful shower that was much welcomed after staying in cheap hostels and camping for a week. The room had a nice view of the valley and the terrace was nice to sit on and look at the stars at night. My friend and I were initially unsure about staying in Mustafapasa due to being quite far out from Goreme and the other towns but it was well worth it. It was very quiet and peaceful and we could get around just fine with taxis that the owners helped us to organise.

Staying at Gibos Cave Hotel is an experience in itself. How cool to be able to stay in a cave as you are exploring other caves in the area. When you stay at Adin and Hatice's hotel you are treated as family. Staying in Mustafapaşa versus one of the bigger towns in the area was the best decision we made. After a day of touring, it is nice to get back to a relaxing, laid-back town versus the chaos of Göreme or Ürgüp. Walking distance from the hotel are multiple restaurants as well as Cathedral Valley, a free of charge walk with multiple cave churches and amazing views.

    Nothing.

We can confidently say that our time in Cappadocia would not have been as enjoyable without staying at Adin and Hatice's place. They are the best hosts you could ask for with a beautiful and authentic cave hotel. Their helpfulness and thoughtfulness truly enhanced our experience. Thanks to them, we were able to plan our activities and access popular attractions for cheaper, through their connections, with fair prices that aren't generally available to tourists. The location, an old cave dwelling converted by them into a beautiful accommodation, is absolutely fantastic. It is full of marvelous details. They take pride in it and are eager to show it to their guests and explain the history of the place. If you're not a fan of the typical overrated tourist spots, we'd also recommend staying in Mustafapaşa instead of the larger, more well-known places like Göreme. The area is much more authentic and peaceful. Additionally, it's beautifully situated and one of the oldest in the region. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. Other reviews comment on the rooms being chilly. However, they resolved this with a heater (for us this was no issue whatsoever). We are incredibly grateful for this experience and regret only booking for two nights. This unique stay was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to Turkey. We will wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Turkey. Thank you, Adin and Hatice, for an unforgettable stay!

This place is really special. Adin and Hatice are an inspiring retired couple who have lovingly converted the ancient cave dwellings into a charming hotel. The original carved structures, which are hundreds of years old, have been preserved. And so, each room is unique, filled with secret nooks and crannies to explore. The room we got was large, and well decorated with repurposed antiques and Hatice's handmade crocheted details. It was everything I imagined what a cave hotel would be. My wife felt cold during the first night, and the hosts brought us a portable heater and made sure we were comfortable. The bathroom was equally big and had everything we needed. Adin and Hatice were very welcoming and generous. They personally prepared a lovely Turkish breakfast for us every morning, and were passionate about sharing recommendations and historical facts about the small town of Mustafapaşa and Türkiye. My wife got to learn about traditional Turkish instruments from Adin. On our last night, they surprised us with homemade sütlaç. Because Mustafapaşa is a small town, it only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel to the town square. Also, if you're looking to spend a night or two away from the busy tourist towns of Cappadocia, please consider Mustafapaşa as a quaint and quiet getaway. This town has its own unique history as a Greek settlement, where the people are genuinely warm, and you'll still see all the beautiful old Greek doorways as you walk around. Even though most people probably only do day trips, we thoroughly enjoyed wandering around and getting to know the neighborhood. Everyone who walks through Gibos is bound to feel loved, including the two playful dogs who made the property their home. The atmosphere of this place makes you feel like you are entering a magical secret garden. But truly, it was Adin and Hatice's presence that made our stay extra memorable, and I wish we had more time with them.

Staying at Gibos was the highlight of our trip! Hatice and Adin are welcoming, fascinating and readily sharing about themselves, their lives and their culture. Staying with them and getting to know them created a truly authentic experience. The space is beyond incredible, pictures cannot do it justice, you have to see for yourself!

Everything was perfect, from the breakfast, to the warm blankets and homemade snacks delivered to our room!

No words to describe how great was our decision to stay at this place! This was an experience we could not dream about. It is not only about architecture and design. It is about amazing people who treated us like a part of the family. Every handmade detail of the hotel deserves to be pictured. We observed almost all the rooms and tonnels. It seemed like we were immersed in some fairy tail. The owners invested so much soul into this project! Big respect and good luck! 🤞🏻
