Reviews of Hamit Hotel Istanbul

It was near old Istanbul and near to Metro station. Breakfast was also reasonable. We had to checkout late due to evening flight, and our checkout was extended till 3:00pm free of charge.

The wifi was really poor. Cleanliness was average. The room was on top of the road and you could hear the traffic. We checked in late at night (2am), asked for some water and got the answer that its not provided in the room.

The staff, location, price and breakfast were great. The staff are very friendly.

The internet is very bad, the furniture is old, and the noise of the hotel guests is audible.

The staff was excellent. Breakfast was ok.

It seems that the typicall guests of this hotel (meaning 95% of them at least) are extremely noisy any time of the day and night. People tend to speak in the corridors as if they were home at any time they please. People circulating in corridors and between rooms (probably groups and familiy members staying in different floors), calling each other while making no effort to lower the volume, slamming doors, young people running, but mostly adults having conversations as if no on else existed. Every single night! In 10 days I had 2 normal nights!!!! It doesnt help that the walls and doors are supr thin, but this kind of behaviour as a norm was really over the top.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English well! I really enjoyed their hospitality! I booked two rooms for my family and both were nice and clean. Our rooms were opposite, so we had no problems with that. The beds were comfy and there was no noise that would make it hard to sleep, the curtains also blocked enough light to have a good rest at night and in the morning. There were no issues with electrical devices - the AC, hairdryer and TV were working well, we also asked for the iron to iron the clothes and got it quickly. We really enjoyed breakfasts, the food was fresh, there was a good variety of choice, greens and great desserts, as well as tea, coffee and juices. The menu was also different every day, so we had a chance to try some traditional Turkish food and desserts right at the hotel. The hotel location is very convenient, there are two small shops with food and some necessities next to the hotel as well as the exchange office. It takes about 6 minutes to get to the tram station. You can get to Sultanahmet Square in 15 minutes using the tram or in 30 minutes on foot, which I think is great.

Unfortunately, the wi-fi in the rooms was pretty bad, it was almost impossible to use the internet, because it took a very long time to load a single page. However, it worked pretty well on the ground floor, so you can use it if you go down and sit in the lounge area. There was also some mold between the tiles in the shower, because the bathroom ventilation didn’t work. So in order to dry it, I had to open the bathroom door and wait. It was also hard to dry the washed clothes.

Excellent breakfast, very good location, a very helpful, low key staff, impeccable room service.

The rooms are old and worn out, smelled on smoke or mold when we arrived, bathroom sink leaked, bidet unfunctional, window looked onto the street, metres across from another hotel's rooms, it was oftren noisy during the night.

The property is located at the Aksaray, 10 min walk from tram station, 15 min walk to Marmaray/train/metro and 5 min walk from bus station. Good location that gives you flexibility to go to any attraction that you want in Istanbul. Hotel itself is a little outdated, but well maintained and it justifies the price. The air conditioning was working perfectly and the rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed and staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast was awesome. You can find many traditional Turkish dishes at the table to take from and try on without having to go to breakfast somewhere else and pay a lot of money for it. For me and for the price it is 10/10. Also, to show their hospitality, the last night of our stay, the hotel served us free plate of fruits which was a very nice touch.

The rooms could be a little updated to be more modern, but then the price probably wouldn’t be the same. So, choose for yourself.

Breakfast was great. Plenty of food, great variety of food options, tasted great and had a wide time window for entry while providing virtually unlimited refils. Homemade cake was amazing. Hotel manager (Malik Misirlioglu) took our issues seriously and resolved them fast once notified. Great available room service.

Showerhead in the room was prone to falling while taking the hotel staff 3 days to fix it, only change happening once contacting the hotel manager after asking hotel staff twice about the issue. Loud due to movement on the nearby boulevard.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was close enough to different metros and buses so it was easy to get around. The staff provided us with a complementary fruit platter which we appreciated

Some of the facilities in the room like the bathroom needs an upgrade. Although it was clean, it didn't appear spotless because of how old the facilities in the bathroom were. The rooms were not soundproof at all either.

The sheets are so clean and smell very good, the breakfast was so good and there was plenty of options, the workers are very helpful, everything is close to the hotel, good wifi, definitely coming back.

Large and spatial rooms for that price next to Univercity subway, great location if you like tourist area of Fatih, though for more reasonable prices. The room was silent, no issue with noise.

Hotel has great location, staff are very kind, friendly and willing to help with everything. We had an early morning flight and they were so kind to give us room in the morning (before check-in hours) and breakfast. Breakfast was amazing, everything was warm, fresh and delicious. We felt like we are at home.
