How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is right at the center of Goreme! Right next to the hotel many restaurants, cafe, shops, rooftops. The entrance to the hotel is very beautiful and can be used as a photo shoot spot. Actually tourists use it for the fee 5euro, good news is that the hotels residents can use it for free. The hotel is not big, but very comfortable. It has its own rooftop with the beautiful view. We were welcomed by the great guy Abdullah, he was very friendly to us. Our room was enough for 4 people and has everything inside including the AC. For the note it is some kind of problem with the electricity in the town and you can barely find and hotel with the AC in Goreme.
Everything is great! Some kind find the breakfast not that wide and extended, but it has everything you need in the morning.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind and detailed feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our central location, the beautiful entrance, and especially our rooftop views. It’s wonderful to know that you felt comfortable during your stay and appreciated the facilities in your room. I’m especially happy that I could contribute to making your stay pleasant. Just to kindly clarify, my name is Abdul Wasi. 😊 We also appreciate your note about breakfast—your comments help us improve while knowing that you still found it satisfying. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back to Göreme again soon! Warm regards, Abdul Wasi

Verified reviewThe hotel is in the middle of Goreme, where the chimney houses are integrated into a buzzing town full of little shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable, every day sheets and towels were refreshed. The bed super comfortable. Very clean, newly refurbished. Very good value for money! And, the breakfast a treat, with a huge buffet of fresh good quality food to choose from! The very friendly staff gave us grrat prices for the activities around. Abdul Wasi helped us out with anything we needed. Thank you Hanzade!
They could make something more outof the roof terrace.

Verified reviewWe liked the room and the beautiful entrance
There was so much street noise during the whole night (people, cars, bikes…) we couldn’t fall asleep. We also didn’t like the staff since we had the feeling they were only interested in selling their tours to you…

Verified reviewThe location was perfect ! Close to restaurants and shops, 15-minute walk to the best sunrise balloon viewing point. The entrance to the hotel is very nicely decorated, everybody stopped there to take photos with the pretty lights. The room was bigger than anticipated and the bed was quite comfortable.
The thing that bothered me the most was the wifi, which was really slow, with some devices not able to connect at all. Breakfast was pretty varied, but they weren't restocking things. If you didn't get there first, no way you could find something missing again. Another thing i found strange was that there wasn't electricity a couple of times. We complained about it and took some time to get somebody to look at it. In the end, i think it was either a tripped fuse or something like that because it was easily fixed. Also, it was a bit weird there wasn't any room cleaning, even though we stayed 4 nights. All in all, I would say these are things that can be overcome in the future and that the potential for a great stay is there.

Verified reviewCentrally located, small number of rooms, really cute entryway and decent facilities. The place has a rooftop and breakfast available for guests. They helped us to book a hammam experience which was great and an easy process.
We stayed for a week in room 202 so got a very good sense of the place - there were a few issues. Firstly, the room smelt very bad due to lack of a U-bend/waste 'trap' in the bathroom sink which meant we had smell from the room below. I complained about this about four times and they only came to the room once to try and address it but there wasn't a solution. We ended up trying to plug the sink ourselves because it was so unpleasant. Don't expect stellar service here - we often got the sense that out of politeness staff would nod and pretend to understand when they didn't (guessing due to the language barrier). This meant overall communication was poor. The bathroom had mould which wasn't nice and a fixture in the bathtub was broken (see photos). I did mention the broken fixture to staff but again, nothing was done about this. In addition the lighting in the bathroom was very low, with many bulbs out. The breakfast was lovely but it wasn't clear that freshly made eggs were available until day 5 - as nobody told us we could ask for them. The rooftop is a nice space that was totally under-utilised. When we arrived it was snowing (so fair enough they hadn't set up the cushions) but when the weather improved we had three days of beautiful sun and no comfy places to sit upstairs because this was never set up, despite me asking four times. There are lines between asking, reminding, and pestering and I was bordering on the latter! Note that despite the soundproof claim this place is definitely not - you are right next to the mosque which means the call to prayer is very loud and clear. This might not bother you at 5am if you are already up for the balloons, but outside of that beware. All-in-all, I think its fine for a short stay if you're unfussy and don't mind being left to yourself, but I think there are better options if you want to feel a bit special on holiday.

Verified reviewBeautiful, cozy and authentic place with such lovely people running it! Good AC, nice breakfast, spectacular roof view and central location with easy access to everything a tourist can wish for. A wide array of services available for booking at the reception at a better rate that you can get in the city.
The bathroom in our room was tiny and had nothing separating the showering area from the toilet itself so the water pours over the seat. It also floods easily, with much mold on the door and poor ventilation. Very hard to find parking and sometimes the street below gets loud late at night.
