How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Hotel decided to cancel my booking on the day of arrival. They’d sent me a msg on the day asking what time I was checking in. Since I was flying there I didn’t receive the msg until I landed but that was too late. They’d already cancelled my room. Weirdly they still had availability online so I rebooked a room in the taxi on the way. I arrived and they advised me they had no space and requested they put me in their “sister” hotel and proceeded to try and bargain with me on how much I pay. If it wasn’t late at night and my wife wasn’t pregnant we’d have gone elsewhere but I reluctantly accepted. The hotel staff then insisted that I cancel my booking with them presumably so that I couldn’t leave a review about my situation. My guess is the hotel gives rooms away for walk-ins and because we were arriving late and paying upon arrival the hotel they don’t lose out.
We waited from noon until 23:00 at night to reach you that day. You have created a cancelable, non-payment reservation, so you have exercised your most natural right. We just wanted a small message from you about the arrival time, not money, not much. You didn't answer our calls or messages. We have made a reservation for you at our sister hotel, which is 10 meters away, so that you do not have to be a victim again. Even though they are better and more expensive than us We hosted you there nicely with a very small price difference. We had no concerns about the comment, we just asked for the sake of completing the process, that's all. We value people whether you stay or not.

Verified reviewLocation in the city center 10-15 minutes on foot from the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped to reserve a parking spot on the street near the hotel which was very useful. Delicious Turkish breakfast.
The bathroom is rather small but we stayed only for 1 night and it was not a problem at all.

Verified reviewThe location is great, close both to bus stops and to the city centre. The staff is nice, friendly and ready to answer questions, allowed to leave the luggage before check-in and after checkout. The room was clean, the beds were fine. We stayed for 3 nights, cleaning was offered, as well as change of towels. It's rather quiet and there's everything you need in the room. The balcony is spacious.
They serve pre-made breakfast, and if you don't eat something, it will be wasted. I'd suggest to have an open buffet. Also, there's no shower cabin or even a curtain in the bathroom, it's inconvenient. The hotel is right at a busy street, and you can hear cars a lot, but it's a quiet area except for thıs.

The bathroom floor was full with dirty water. And there was no shower cabin! Sheets wasn’t clean. It was stinky, there was stains and lots of men body hair on it. We had to ask reception to change it. We checked-in in the midnight with my spouse, and next day, after breakfast they called me to the reception and asked for marriage certificate and tried to humiliate us for not being officially married! It was like an interrogation and so absurd. They told us that guests who are not officially married and doesn’t have a marriage certificate can not stay in their hotel?! I don’t recommend this place if you don’t love Zealots. We checked out immediately because it didn’t feel safe after how they treated us.
Even though you know the rules of our hotel, you can make a reservation whether accommodation activities are allowed We regret providing service to the person who took a photograph of the bathroom you use for defamation purposes. You left our hotel at check-out time. Everything was perfect until the breakfast service. We made a little reminder to you, and you are talking about religion, please do not do it shamefully, it does not suit you. It is not our place to question anyone's life. But as humans, we must also respond to injustice.

Verified reviewThe location is very convenient, close to the city center. The hotel offers good value for money, and the staff was flexible and accommodating with our requests, which we appreciated
The bathroom was quite small, and the shower didn’t have a separation from the toilet, which made things a bit uncomfortable. The room itself was also small, but fine for a short stay. Unfortunately, we don’t speak Turkish, so we had a few communication issues at times.
