The hotel is beautiful. A rustic feel but still modern and very clean. The buffet breakfast was absolutely incredible. During our stay, the staff were so accommodating to anything we needed. They even walked us outside to our transfer and waved us goodbye!

The hotels dinner restaurant was lacking atmosphere which was so different to the rest of the establishment which was perfect.

The hotel was beautifully designed, soundproofed and located centrally. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The rooms reflected the history of the building whilst providing modern amenities.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian area, so you'll have to leave the hotel to catch a taxi. An espresso or cappuccino is not included in breakfast, you'll have to pay for it separately.

The room is comfortable, spacious, and very well-appointed. The bathroom is large and spacious, with a bathtub; I would have preferred a shower. The breakfast was generous and varied, with savory, sweet, and other options available from the kitchen. Conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk from the tourist area of central Istanbul. In the evening, the breakfast room transforms into a Michelin-starred restaurant, with a romantic and peaceful atmosphere, with a rich and tasty menu, and excellent service.

Beware of traffic if you're planning to go to the airport by car from here. It can be somewhat unpredictable due to the chaotic traffic pattern in this part of the old city.

Building with rich history, and modern amenities and comfort. From a tobacco factory in the Ottoman days, to the convenient yet quiet location, and a great breakfast buffet, this is a place I'd return to next time I'm in Istanbul. The staff here is friendly, approachable, and definitely helpful in getting you where you want to go, or just giving you ideas of local interests.

One of the best things about this hotel is that it is very quiet . Traffic is not allowed on the street so unlike the rest of very busy Istanbul, the street is totally quiet. Also, you cannot hear anything through the walls coming from the rooms next door. Be sure to get a room with a good view, some don’t have any view. The bed is super comfortable. You can refill the glass water bottle they give you and get ice at the bar downstairs. The staff is very nice. The rooms are starting to look a little tired and could be cleaner.

We arrived early in the morning and were able to check in then. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and looked after. The location was very central for the old district of Istanbul. Breakfast was great and staff are on hand to provide any extra requirements. The staff were very helpful by providing places of interest outside of the main attractions.

Nothing, everything was just what we wanted in a hotel

From when we arrived to when we left, the hotel was awesome. Well located in the old town, the Regie Ottoman is an oasis of calm, luxury with amazing staff. Our room was perfect and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good. Nothing was too much trouble, whether organising airport transfers or even offering us sandwiches for our very early departure time when we left. We will definitely be back, highly recommended!

The Hotel is located in the downtown area, very vibrant and fully furnished of public transportation (tram, taxis and boats). The breakfast was always very tasty with a mix of local and international products. The room was very cozy, perhaps a bit small but that didn't affect our stay. At last but not least a word to the staff, spectacular!!! This Hotel is on my top 5.

There was nothing about the hotel experience that was anything less than brilliant. Our only issue during our stay was the transfer back to the airport. The driver we had to return to the airport should never be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle. He was the most dangerous driver I've ever experienced and we were shaking when we finally reached the airport. It may be an idea to ask the wonderful staff at The Regie to recommend a safer driver with a car that has seats and seatbelts that actually work. I'm certain they could screen the driver for insanity if asked!
