Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe only thing about the hotel itself was that the room we had did not have AC. Althought there are pictures of pools, there is not one in this hotel. Our only other comments were about the recommendations from the front desk. Though some were amazing, others were not, so it is STRONGLY recommended to do your own research before booking with them. For example, the dervish experience we booked was cheaper elsewhere. The Elis Kapadokya Hamam was not very sanitary and smelled strongly of mould. We felt that there were other higher-end luxury experiences nearby at reasonable prices that would have been better. In my horseback riding experience, the guide was severely beating and abusing the horse because it was not cooperating, and on steep cliffs with no riding experience myself, I was very scared my horse was going to get spooked; it was very dangerous.
The room was stunning, inside a cave, just like the pictures! There were plenty of common spaces, perfect for meeting other travellers, photoshoots and selfies! The breakfast had long hours and a bunch of delicious options. The hotel arranged our travel to and from the airport for a very reasonable price with a great shuttle service. The location was uphill from the main square, but totally worth the hike up/down for the beautiful location. They recommended we eat at "Aysel'in Mutfağı" restaurant (downhill) and "Kaira" Rooftop Bar (uphill) - both were steps away and uniquely amazing. They also arranged the hot air balloon experience at a reasonable price (~100 euro/usd,) which was a dream come true. The staff were all very kind and super accomodating.

ItalyElite Cave Suites is the best place to stay a couple of days in Cappadocia! Amazing sunrise view over the valley with hot balloons and perfect sunset spot! Our room was big and with 3 windows with a view on the valley. The owners are super nice and available helping you with tour bookings and activities! I would like to return here for sure!

United KingdomOnly suggestion is that the hotel should not have dogs at the reception. Not everyone like dogs.
Me and my 2 daughters loved all of the cats and the guy at the reception (Togai) was very kind and friendly, he recommended us activities to do, and made sure we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The vibe and environment is very nice and resembles an actual cave, but is even prettier. We loved all of the balconies and sitting areas and our hotel rooms were very pretty and smelled so nice and clean and fresh. The views from the balconies were beautiful and were nicely decorated - perfect for pictures. There is nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. It was the best hotel I have ever been to in my life!

UkraineThe only downside was that there’s no air conditioning, which might be a bit uncomfortable during the hotter days, but the overall experience more than made up for it.
I had an amazing stay at this authentic cave hotel in Cappadocia! The location is perfect — just a short walking distance to the city center, yet quiet and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive, always ready to help with anything. They organized all my transfers and tours perfectly, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The breakfast had a great variety of food, and the view from the hotel is just breathtaking — I could see hot air balloons rising over Cappadocia right from my balcony in the morning. Absolutely magical! I stayed in two different rooms, each uniquely designed with its own charm and both with a jacuzzi — a perfect touch of luxury.

PhilippinesMaybe the dog. Sometimes she become aggressive and barks a lot. This could annoy the guests.
My room was perfect. It was a half cave half stone style. The location was good. Near shops, restaurants and rooftop bars. Few steps away from the sunset viewpoint. And you'll feel like you're in a magical place when you relax and unwind in their terrace. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful specially the receptionist Tugay. He helped me a lot in many things. I recommend this hotel.

United StatesDo NOT book their "blue tour", which is sold as a "luxury guided tour", but it's not. This was a huge regret. I've been on tours around the world, and this was by far the worst-value ever experienced. Normally, private tours provide an enhanced, more intimate and detailed experience. Our guide (Seyda) was a nice lady, but she is just a staff member, not a professional guide. She did not escort us at any site, but rather just told us a bit of info before arriving at each site, and then sat and drank tea while we toured alone. No offer to take photos etc. even at the viewpoints which did not require much walking. When I did ask questions, she seemed annoyed, and later we found out that some things she'd told us were not accurate. Also, in their description, they say you won't be rushed, but we were given a short time limit at each stop. The price for our 4-hour tour was 240 Euro, and 2 of our 7 stops were "shopping" stops. You'd be better off just arranging an Uber to the sites you want to see and reading about them on the way. I noticed she also does their photography tours (for the same price); hopefully she does better with that one. To be fair, when I told them about my dissatisfaction, they did comp a few other things, and thus our terrible tour experience is not reflected in our score for our stay. The room is dark and dated. There's a TV with no programming and no internet/smart box, but no fridge. Their breakfast starts at 8:30, which is late for a town that gets going early, and by 9:30 they don't replenish dishes that are finished. I also didn't understand why a boiled egg was included by not a cooked egg (have to pay extra, and not clear how or to whom). Room and property need a thorough cleaning. When we checked in, I found the table still sticky from previous guest, and a cigarette butt in the filthy bathroom exhaust fan. When I pointed it out, no one offered to clean it.
Advance communication was impressive, and it's convenient that they also help arrange transfers, tours, etc. They gave us a good price on the balloon flight tour, and it was an awesome experience! I liked the whatsapp connection to ask for local recommendations. Breakfast was varied, and it was very hospitable (and somewhat rare) for them to invite us to join it on the morning we arrived from the airport. Bed was pretty comfy with decent pillows, and air-con sufficiently cooled our room despite the 40c+ temps outside. We also loved the use of their sister hotel's pool, which somehow despite being located in the direct sunlight, still maintained a nice cool temp inside. The location on the hill provides for nice views of the "town" (and also the necessary dose of daily exercise haha).

This place was a dream come true. I felt like the Queen of the castle. Tugay-the manager did everything he could to make my stay super special. I definitely felt very taken care of. The view was spectacular. I could sit on my balcony and see the balloons without going anywhere. The room was fit for royalty. I highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience. PolandIt was one of my best stays. All the people working in the hotel are very helpful, nice. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend taking trip of the balloon flight from the reception of the hotel: the organization and price are very good. It was very good, but unfortunately short stay. I will definitely back to this place.

United StatesWe were looking for a cave hotel that was authentic and actually felt like you were in a cave. Elite cave suites was amazing for that! We absolutely felt like we were sleeping in a cave, but at the same time had all the modern amenities that made us comfortable. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes to town and sunset point directly behind. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They reached out even before we arrived to help plan activities.

New ZealandBreakfast is quite small and not a lot of variety
Amazing location and stunning views of the balloons in the morning. They have multiple viewing decks that you can also relax at during the day with amazing views. The cave room was very large and had everything you needed. We also did the camel ride and green tour through the property and we would definitely recommend this to see parts of Cappadocia for a reasonable price.
