It was one of the best decision I made to book the luxury king size bed sea view room for my mother. I booked this while mother arrived in Istanbul Airport and I was in Canada far from her. Phone call conversation with hotel costumer services was the best quality ever. I felt the care, trust and respect that was the moment I knew my mom is going to have the most peaceful and lovely experience. I am happy I. An confidently say it absolutely was. Customer Service responded to my phone call very quick and answered all my questions patiently and politely. They welcomed my mother with so much warmth and respect. They also supported my mother even in midnight to arrange phone charging converter for her cell phone to be connected with us. My mother loved this hotel. The quality and cleanliness was stunning. One of the most peaceful time that could happened for our Mom. Breakfast was awesome. The location was amazing near Taksim square and night life. Next time my sisters and I will join my mother again at Sofitel Hotel. This time for bigger room reservation which is suitable for 4 people for sure. Thank you Sofitel Hotel Staff team for giving the best peaceful and joyful time to my mother. We will see you soon again!

Sewer smell, not clean, not comfy bed.

Property is way over priced, not 5 stars level it’s like 4, disgusting Sewer smell in bathroom and hallway. They don’t clean very well just surface cleaning. Breakfast small buffet not like other hotels in Turkey. Very small gym ( even though they have plenty of empty hallways around it for nothing. The only one thing going on for them is the location.

This nice well-managed hotel is right in the middle of the Taksim action. Just walk out the door into 24/7/365 touristy hustle bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Mr. Tufan Yucel at the front desk upgraded us and gladly acceeded to our request for late check out. On our floor, Mr Erkan Karaca was superb. The facility is modern and newish. Breakfast was great, with good variety and friendly service. Metro station is stone's throw, from where you can get to all the other key parts of town, such as Sultan Ahmet, and the ferry docks if you want to go the Asian side or just want to sail up the Bosphorus. Also from the metro station you can go to the upmarket northern part of Istanbul.

When we checked in the bathroom is out of shower gel and we asked for it. They gave us a full bottle of shower gel and so we put it on the floor. The day after, after the house keeping cleaned our room, the shower gel bottle is still on the floor.

Right in front of Taksim square though its a bit noisy but its okay. The room is very spacious and the breakfast is also good.

We had 4 rooms. The beds on the 5th floor - mattresses were not so good. 6th floor much better. Housekeeping did not replenish some necessities. Also did not give a Sofitel ( higher end Accor ) property feel.

We had never ending issues with the toilet in our bathroom. The flush was occasionally leaky, and the jet was unsteady in that it kept moving between use. The mattress for the extra bed was uncomfortable although the staff was kind enough to layer it up with a second mattress.
