Reviews of Sözer Otel

The Sozer hotel is a lovely traditional family run hotel just accross the road from a small stony beach and within walking distance of restaurants and a supermarket it is a perfect stopover if travelling along the Turkish coast or for a stopover if on a ferry trip to Lesbos. The breakfast was lovely and traditionaly Turkish. We found the owner and his wife very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble, this was our third stay there and if in the area we will stay again.

The building needs a make up renovation.Small part in rooms but also in bathrooms.

The location is very good. The breakfast was also nice, the beds were ok.

We liked the hospitality of the owners. We felt well taken care of. Good food, great view, comfy beds. Everything we asked they provided. Very fast service, and the best dessert I have tried lately, home made. And a big special moment, towels that smell great!!! Not even in 5 star hotels do they smell so good.

Small things, like no cleaning of the room, no changing sheets during 9 nights. I do think that if we asked they would have done it, but it is not a part of the basic deal. Their attitude makes it hard to criticize anything. They are good and hardworking people with great kids.

Very friendly hosts, good views of the bay, good dinner and very good breakfast. Convenient car park. Comfortable bed.

The room was small and a bit worn. The shower was not very good and the toilet seat broke. A busy road makes it a bit noisy. Was a convenient location for one night on our long drive, but seemed overpriced, probably due to the location by the sea.

The couple who run it are fantastic, they went out of their way to help me, despite only being there 1 night, I had some homemade bbq and salad made which was delicious. There's access to the beach with loungers just across the road. Shared balcony with a stunning view. About 5/10 mins walk into main part of town.

Nothing major, small attention to detail, kettle cord didn't reach the plug, put water in the fridge for guest arrival.

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.

Being in on the main road it is a bit noisy but acceptable for the location. The showers need a bit of attention, but at least worked so ok.

Very friendly and kind staff. They didn't speak much English but found a way with a translator. The room was very nice, with a big balcony and a full view on the sea across the road. The position is ok, 20 minutes walk to the city, much less with a minibus. Good breakfast.

They didn't clean the room, but we stayed only two nights so it was not a big deal.

What a fabulous family! They really couldn't do enough for us. Location is phenomenal, parking straight outside, bar and restaurant onsite...brilliant!

Tea/ coffee making facilities in our room would have made this even better.

Very friendly staff , great breakfast, close to all areas

Everything was very clean : room, bathroom, common spaces, everything The staff was absolutely perfect. Although the person didn’t speak English, he was of great help throughout all our stay. He explained us how to take the public mini buses and even waited with us to take it. The breakfast was excellent and delicious. We had to work in the common area one night and the view is beautiful. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I would come back to your place if I’m back in Ayvalik.

The WiFi didn’t reach the room but it wasn’t a big problem as we could go to the common area that was very cosy as well

Very nice breakfast with a sea view. Polite and helpful personnel. Room was nice and tidy.

Traffic on the front of the hotel was a bit noisy (overspeeding cars in the evening and night).
