Thank you for your feedback regarding the your hotel stay, however, I would like to address a few issues with your review. The main reason you have scored us so low appears to be because of the accident which happened with your car. We do not advertise private parking and all the parking is on a public street. As you saw over your two days of parking the car, the streets are narrow and can be very crowded during a busy time. Your car was parked in a safe place for normal sized cars to pass you. Our manager left the hotel card on the windscreen so anyone driving a bigger vehicle could call us if they couldn't get past. As it turns out it was a mini van that hit your light and they did not contact us before trying to pass your car. The driver of that mini van did stop and was very apologetic and stayed to help to solve the situation. Our staff did call my husband - (the owner of the hotel) and he came up as soon as he could to help. Perhaps something was lost in translation or your misunderstanding as my husband who speaks very good English had trouble communicating with you. He actually did make sure the police were called and he explained to you what you would need to do when the police arrived, which was fill out one form that the police would give you. He also explained to you that you would need to fill out a form you should have with the rental car and that your insurance with the car would cover it. It is our understanding that you then told my husband ( using Google translate) that you actually hadn't paid for the extra insurance with the rental. Due to other unavoidable commitments, my husband did have to leave before the police arrived and we apologise that you felt the staff 'evaporated.' Our other hotel staff did stay with you to offer assistance and I'm sure you could have used google translate to talk with them and the police also. To say that you had zero assistance from staff and that we did not want to call the police, is simply not true and quite frankly very frustrating. We pride ourselves on strong Customer service and we go above and beyond to help our guests enjoy their stay with us and make sure everything runs smoothly. Our breakfast regularly receives extremely high praise in our reviews and when i spoke to you that morning, you commented how good breakfast was, so I am going to ignore that comment as I feel that your displeasure with the hotel has more to do with your frustration at having had an unfortunate accident with your car, and actually very little to do with the hotel. This is of course very upsetting and yes things can be tricky when you are in a foreign country. But this is not actually anything to do with your hotel stay. We did assist you as much as we were able to and its very disappointing to see you write a review encouraging future guests to use that information to 'draw a conclusion about the hotel' when in actual fact your complaint had nothing to do with the hotel and was completely false. Good luck with your future travels.

Thank you for your review and we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have indoor tables in our heated breakfast room that you can sit at when it's cold outside. We also clearly show pictures of our rooms when you book. We are very open about the size of our rooms and we are certainly not trying to deceive anyone. Perhaps next time you come and stay with us you can book a Deluxe Suite which will be much more spacious for you. We hope to see you again, many thanks.
