The scrambled eggs were nice. But nothing else suitable for breakfast

Value for money. False advertising. The first night we had sheets that were discoloured and stained. Shower so small you could hardly turn around. Air conditioner did not work. Mould in the room and shower. Stairs extremely steep and dangerous.

    Property response:

Dear guest, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a comment. Our hotel is a small hotel located in the historical district of Istanbul. Our rooms are small and all online sales sites state the square meters of our rooms. Despite this, the bathrooms in the room are reasonably large. I have to state here that your measurements seem large for the bathroom. It is clearly stated in our hotel that the rooms are reached by stairs, and there are pictures of the stairs. If you want to pay very little and have everything perfect, you should have paid twice the price you paid us and stayed somewhere else. Writing such defamatory comments is only suitable for malicious people. Kind regards Kadir Cikan

The wallnut shell is an adorable and quaint little hotel in the heart of the old city district. Walking distance to many major attractions. The staff at the hotel were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast, which is served next door at the Harmony Hotel, was a delicious spread and a great way to start the day.

Saltanahmet district is a tourist designation due to the attractions and can be way more expensive than anticipated. Be prepared to spend money and have many encounters.

Clean, comfortable and reasonable price. Very near to hagia sophia and other sites. People here are very polite and do their job very good.

Staff were very helpful, location excellent.

Facilities a little tired, needs renewal. Room was very small, not suitable for longer stays. The narrow, spiral staircase is an accident waiting to happen. Some concern with fire safety.

Very good location, nice balcony, kind staff.

Not for elderly people - 4th floor, no lift, narrow stairs. Breakfast could be better.

Excellent staff. Kadir is very kind and professional. The room was very comfortable and has a big balcony. The hotel is very close to the main attractions, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and so on. Many restaurants and shops around the place.

For senior folks it might be a consideration going up the stairs if staying in the upper level (4th floor). The stairs are steep.
