It's a charming hotel at the top of Jiufen Old Street. A magical location worth spending money on. It's just that you have to be really fit to walk up and down the stairs most of the time. Perfect breakfast setting with a gorgeous view and the kindest owner ever.

The bed was definitely quite hard but that was a very minor issue for me. Also this isn’t any issue at all with the accomodation especially as they let you know in advance but if catching the bus from Taipei city make sure to get off at Jiufen Old Street instead of Jiufen police station if you don’t want to carry your luggage up a LOT of stairs.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Jiufen, between the very welcoming and accommodating hosts, amazing location atop most of the town, warm decor, and great home cooked breakfasts A-HOME is definitely somewhere I’ll be looking to stay again.

The place was spacious and very clean. And more importantly, it really feels like home. The people are very accommodating and polite. Jiufen was a dream destination for us and A Home made our stay in Jiufen comfortable and memorable as well.

We had to climb up stairs to reach the property. It was not fun climbing up the stairs while carrying your luggage. Make sure you read the directions given by the owner because the route is shorter and easier. Don’t follow google’s directions unless you want to walk around 3.5 km all the way from the police station and it is stairs all the way.

It is so homey and the owner is so nice and helpful. Breakfast was good … plus the view from the terrace was beautiful.

The location is very good. After getting round in the evening along Jiufen old street you can just walk back to the hotel and relax. The place is very quiet and clean (well, not super super clean but you can expect a very good level of cleaness for this old house) The place is also very cute and traditional. The breakfast is exceptional. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy Jiufen view during having breakfast. The people who take care of the place are very nice and caring. This fulfill our Jiufen trip <3

The queen size bed is a little hard.

Very close to the old street yet quiet.Whimisial decor. The couple who runs the place is very friendly. Allowed early check-in. Loaned umbrellas and raincoats that came in handy for the very wet weather. Substantial breakfast. Arranged a reliable driver to chauffeur us around.

This is our favorite place to stay during the trip in Taiwan. The best view to enjoy breakfast, perfect location with a quiet environment for sleeping but simply 5-8 min walking time to Jiufen Old Street. Staff 碧儿 is a very kind girl and gave us lots of helpful Tipps. The owner couple prepared a pretty lovely breakfast for us. We enjoyed the time at A-Home and will come back again next time!

Mostly everything here was great, only suggestion that the room may need some small repair in the corner from what looked to be water damage. Small cosmetic issue, however.

Wish we could have stayed more nights here. The property owner was so kind to us. Fed us a great breakfast and helped us during a bout of really strong rains that left us looking pretty bad when we arrived. The room was cute, heated, and the bathroom was clean with a cool design. Had a TV and a little tea drinking area. The property itself had multiple areas like a little village which I thought was neat.

The shower had a spot of mold or two, but nothing that kept us from finding the overall place clean and cozy.

The location was perfect! Very central to Jiufen activities and it was nice to relax in the middle of the day for a beat or two. We would definitely come back!

Feels like a home and not a hotel. Owners were very nice, breakfast was delicious and the view was beautiful. Wi-Fi works great. Beautiful location as its close to everything (as long as you don't mind climbing all the stairs!!)

The host was so friendly and everything about the stay was great! The location is perfect because it’s right by the old street but just a few steps away in a quiet area higher on the hill. The room had everything I needed and the heat felt great on a couple of cold, rainy nights! This was the highlight of my time in Jiufen and I recommend it to anyone visiting. The breakfast is also so good!

The bed was really hard which I am not used to. A soft topper option would be nice for people like me. Also had a bit of a humidiy problem in the room.

It is at a great location, you have a wonderful view, the breakfast is prepared with love, we enjoyed it all so much! Thank you! Also the main street is very close!
