Because of the pouring rain, the swimming pool didn't opened, but there's no any compensation about that. Breakfast tastes really bad.

A stylish hotel - guess not everyone’s style. Parking v good. Appreciated pool and gym also and walking distance to great japanese restaurants. Staff spoke some English. Rooms smells damp but maybe it could do with a dehumidifier during this hit muggy wet weather. We slept like babes.

My wife unfortunately has a feather allergy and they did not have any non-feather (down) pillows, this unfortunately was quite a hindrance to our stay. As a suggestion for improvement the hotel could have a pillow menu like many other 4-5 star hotels which cater to folks with allergies. The other suggestion is to improve on ventilation as the hotel had a bit of a mustiness. Overall though the hotel was great, they just to make one or two tweaks to make it really shine.

The hotel had beautiful aesthetics. Our room was very spacious and was furnished very stylishly. The finishings were terrific and we really loved the shower, bath and bathroom design. Breakfast was decent and had a good variety of options. The pool area was lovely although were closed during mid-day.

Breakfast was great, but after eating the same thing for two weeks it got a bit repetitive. There was also mold on the bathroom ceiling and a leak near the bathroom entry. Room service noticed that there was a leak and laid down towels near the entrance to the bathroom. We appreciate them for that.

The bathroom was very aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. And the free water bottles were great! The room service was amazing and we always looked forward to coming back to a clean bed every day. The staff was so kind and always doing their best to accommodate us.

Hotel is very far from train station, so can be difficult to get around without car/taxi.

Breakfast included with booking - mostly local dishes which was ideal and decent variety. Large room size. Good pool facilities: towels, swimsuit dryer, lockers.

If I were to nitpick, I'd say the restaurant staff could've been a little friendlier and more professional. I understand some of them start their shifts early in the morning but you'd have to maintain a friendly attitude if you're in the service line. Some of them were working with a fringe curler still in their hair, etc. Other than that, everything else was great, and my family and I had an amazing stay with the hotel.

I have stayed in Inhouse Taichung before (without the Grand) and so I decided to book Inhouse Grand this time to see what the differences were. Sure enough, it was a little pricier than Inhouse Taichung but I would say it was worth every penny. Compared to Inhouse Taichung, Inhouse Grand Taichung boasts a larger variety of amenities, including a fully equipped gym as well as a swimming pool. Their breakfast selection was also great, and there were dishes fit for everyone in the family. Location wise, it was also a 15 minute walk to one of Taichung's more reputable night markets, Yizhong Street night market, so getting food nearby was never an issue. The room was also large and comfortable with an amazing toilet that boasts a heated toilet bowl seat!

we were told that the hotel will be cutting back on providing amenities like toothbrushes and tooth paste as part of sustainability efforts.

the rooms are spacious; and there is an underground parking garage. and breakfast buffet was decent. in spite of the sustainability changes instituted recently, the hotel staff still provided us toothbrushes and toothpaste as we travelled without bringing any of our own. there is also nearby family mart and 7 Eleven marts nearby for emergency purchases and for ATM withdrawals. underground parking garage is behind the hotel on another road 光大街。

The only con I could mention is the bathroom lighting isn’t great for make up. I struggled to put contacts in because it was just dark with lots of shadows.

The breakfast single staff service level has room for improvements, starting from her lack of clearing off used plates from tables to general impoliteness which was not equal to her colleagues' level at the front desk. Also, the restaurant lighting was quite dark and can be slightly brighter.

Breakfast range of foods was good and mostly acceptable quality. Front desk and lounge areas are bright and acceptable. Lift is quite efficient too. Furnishings are good quality. Wish I stay longer to check out the rest of the hotel. Room amenities are sufficient.

Breakfast has a good spread. Room very spacious with full sofa set attached to the room that allow us to relax comfortably, instead of sitting on the bed. There is also a side table for using our computer. Bath room is huge. Staff very friendly and there is a KFC a few units away. After walking for the whole day, you can go for a quick massage, just located opposite the hotel. They are open for 24 hours.
