WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I went there really tired, i was waiting for the check-in time, i was just resting in the common room. A staff has come and told me to get up in a rude way. I said i was tired but she didn't listen. I've never seen something like this in a hostel. Then i went to the reception and asked to cancel my booking. Then lady told me she will arrange a bed, which she didn't until i said i will cancel. After she gave the bed, some staff showed up in my room while sleeping, and had a fight between them loudly, with no respect to me. Also the beds have no privacy, no curtain or anything. Staff is rude. Don't recommend.

You get a small place for sleeping in a room with others and have to share a bathroom. But it is good for the amount of money you pay and the staff is really nice.

I like the most - Boss / Owner. I salute her, even at this age she works everyday. Trust me after longtime, I had a peaceful sleep. If you miss home, please visit this place. Everyone is so friendly and happy going. Rooms are spotless clean. Bed is so comfortable and large. It's more like home. So, please treat in that way, don't treat like hostel. This place gives a break being solo and becoming a family member. I loved this beautiful family home. Big thanks to the whole team. Amazing. What an wonderful location. Everything is just so close-up.

everything is provided even if you forget to bring towel and toothpaste they have it you can pay so its so nice

The location is great.

I might have been unlucky but the staff were not so great. I had to wait for quite a while to check in and they seemed quite cold. Having said that, the Taiwanese in general are so kind, my bar might be set higher because of that

They force you to wear their weird slippers all the time. You can't use yours, even though you've shown them that you don't wear them outside. They seem to be very strict about this, which makes the stay unpleasant.

The rooms and the bathrooms are okay, you can stay there long time and no problem.

The only bad thing it’s the people who works there start to clean when you are in bed, they’re turn off the AC, go inside of the room and started to clean, idk why they did that, but that’s the only bad thing.

The location is very good, walking distance from the train station, walking to the big night market, very convenient. The living area is quite pleasant as well. There is also free laundry which is cool.

There is absolutely no staff on the premises, no one at all. So if you have any questions or concerns, everything happens over WhatsApp discussions. To me, this was irritating. There is only one bathroom per floor, which is not great at all. It seems there is some mould in the room, there were white towels to absorb moisture everywhere. Generally, Chiaya has expensive accomodations, this hostel is not more expensive than the others, but I don't think it offers good value for money. It's better to just take the train and sleep in Tainan for half the price and better conditions- this is generally applicable to Chiaya not just this hostel.

Possibility to use kitchen was nice, but almost all the time there was cooking someone who was living there. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Good location, close to the metro station.

Didnt like the place much, it seems that there are more locals living long term than travelers.
