The staff didn't really speak English so it was hard to communicate. Was hoping to have breakfast in the hotel but that wasn't possible.

Perfect stay- spend so much time in the beautiful bath. Room was spacious and clean. Would highly recommend.

    - It’s not possible to control the temperature in this room, and the room was uncomfortably cold. The staff kindly offered me a different room with no AC, but it was too hot (in July). Fortunately the blankets were warm and i slept well in the cold room. -I noticed some black spots on the ceiling above the bath, which i believe were black mold. -The facilities map is confusing: it says there are hot springs on 1F and 2F but i could not find them. Perhaps it’s referring to the guest rooms with hot springs?

-Within walking distance from many attractions. -Comfortable bed, good water pressure, clean. -Friendly staff and good English service.

    - hotel interior rather old-fashioned

    - very attentive and friendly at the reception, same for the cleaning service - hot tub as part of the room and how it was integrated into the bathroom and separated from the sleeping area - great location for us (in the green, quiet area close to nature, Beitou is a great neighbourhood with a night market, youbike station close by)

Breakfast is not available on site (although you have the option to order delivery through the hotel) They forgot to refill our soap dispenser one day. Minimal amenities (don't expect disposable toothbrushes, razors, conditioner etc., there's only soap and shower gel) but for the price you can't complain.

The hotel used to be very grand and it is a bit faded nowadays, but in a good way! It feels romantic and it was still clean and functional. Our room (I think it was the deluxe queen) was massive and the bed was huge and very comfortable - it wasn't much more expensive than the other room types and definitely worth upgrading. The hot-spring bath on our room was a highlight, of course! The tub fits two comfortably, you can adjust the temperature, and the water quality is very good. The location is great, walkable from Xinbeitou station, quiet and close to all the Beitou sights. We liked that there was a kettle and fridge in the room, as well as a coffee machine, water dispenser and some minimal snacks in the lobby. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke perfect English.

Despite the price and fantastic facilities and location, there hotel does NOT INCLUDE breakfast. Additionally, many of these hotels are actually slightly older. What this typically means is that there are rather FEW electrical outlets inside the rooms, and not located next to each of the end tables. Thus, both people can't plug in their devices for charging at night on the bedside. Many of these older places, including here, really need an electrical upgrade.

The location was quite nice, just a bit out of the way up the hill for coming up to there on foot. But a lovely hotel and property in and out. We stayed the night before Valentine's Day, and actually got a free room upgrade to a slightly larger, nicer room. The bathroom is of course amazing, the hot springs and big Japanese style tub is always worth the stay!

There was a lot of humidity inside the building and the sight and smell of mildew made it unpleasant and, at times, difficult to breathe. It was necessary to maintain a constant airflow with the fans.

The staff was extraordinary. They went out of their way to ensure that we had the best stay possible. Any issues were with the age of the facility, which was beyond their control. The daily service was also very good and the place was clean and cared for to the best of staffs’ ability. There was also a nice area for tea, coffee and snacks that was well appreciated.

I entered the room with dirty towel on the tub and the bed sheets is a little bit dirty. But I snatched the room with crazy low price of 571 so I wouldn't care. Despite the two dirty things. Everything else is clean. With the price, it's a great bargain, but I don't think it is its usual price

The view was of an old derelict building. The snacks were junk food. The balconies are in need of mould removal and refurbishing. The bathroom balcony is shared with an adjacent unit and both bathroom windows can be easily accessed by the other. The wifi wasn’t secure.

The location was calm peaceful and close to attractions. The private ensuite hot spring hot tub was the highlight.

The room is a tad dated, although it did not affect our stay. There was a lingering smell of cigarettes, but it did not bother us that much.

We had a great time. The place is just a short walk from the MRT, although it was a bit uphill. So, there are services reachable by foot including a couple of convenient stores. The room is very nice, especially the hot tub. The reception waited for us even though we arrived quite late. Great experience.

This said, I feel the online photos of this place did not accurately capture the hotel. I stayed in one of the small double rooms. Initially I was put into a room without a window. I asked the staff it it was possible to have a room with a window - the staff were extremely helpful and showed me two other (smaller) rooms with a window that were available. It seems that all the small double rooms, or all of the non-suite rooms, only have no windows or rooms with windows into the alleyway. This feels a bit misleading as the photos online in which the blinds are open for the windows show tree tops. Again, staff was very kind and in hind sight there is a photo of the small double room online, which is basically just a bed and a tub, but if there was an accurate description of the room online I would have booked something different. If you are sensitive to noise, this hotel will not be for you.

The staff at this hotel were extremely kind and helpful. The area around the hotel is nice to walk through.
