I've stayed in many hotels and I know a bathtub increases the price of a room... But for what I paid, the room was small and very plain. Two single mattresses together to form a double bed can be very uncomfortable. Fortunately I was alone.

The location was good for what I needed. The staff were all friendly.

Old hotel, inside room and bathroom construction and even the rood door is very old. The price is relatively on the higher side. I could not figure out why Wifi was not stable or connected to the TV, so to get Wifi, the TV had to be turned on, which is not nice for a decent sleep.

This hotel is not very far from Xindian Subway station, about minutes' walking distance from the other side of the river. The hotel was decent and very good considering the price; however, it included breakfast, water bottles, tea, and coffee. So, this could be an option if you need to stay around this area. Good Check-out time.

The facility in the bathroom is very old school style. No USB charger plug. The toilet paper is toooooooo thin for my liking. Never seen that kind of toilet paper in a proper hotel before.

Nice location, overlooking 2 bridges and the Bitan area. I choose this hotel because a scene of the famous Taiwanese series “It started with a kiss” was filmed here (the room itself had some damages due to the recent typhoon so I couldn’t stay there). Nice over from the window. Decent-sized room. Good breakfast, friendly aunties & staff. A big plus: You can go to 12th floor and walk out the balcony for an excellent morning view.

While there were some updates to attempt to make the hotel look newer and more wheelchair accessible, its age still shows. Peeling wallpaper, old rickety elevator, rust in the bathroom, old light switches, strong smell of cigarettes. I don't have a wheelchair, but the wheelchair ramp seemed way too steep. The mattress was rock hard, and I'm pretty sure it was just two twin size mattresses pushed together to make a queen-size mattress. However, I wasn't exactly surprised because I chose this room because of nostalgia, not because I was expecting high quality.

The view of the lake was very nice. You could even see Taipei 101 in the distance. I requested room 805 in advance, which is the "It Started With A Kiss" room, and they were happy to accommodate. I was glad to see that they kept the original wicker chairs used by the actors in that drama, even though they're old and worn after 20 years. The heart they added above the headboard was a nice tribute as well, just don't look inside the heart. The breakfast was good, although the "Western" style breakfast was french fries and chicken nuggets, which is typically not a breakfast food in the West. I'd recommend pancakes or waffles with syrup.

The room size was a bit small, without a dresser, and somewhat outdated.

The staff were very friendly and wonderful 👍😊. I also really loved the daily breakfast. 🥞🍳🥞

Transportation is difficult by walking in the street, many fast cars drive in the road of hotel.

The attitude of the counter lady is very bad. The Hotel is called Bitan, but they don’t know how much the swan boat in the nearby Bitan scenic area costs? The window opens to death. It's all pipes and the whole moldy wall. It's terrible. There is no dry and wet separation in the bathroom. When you take a shower in the middle, the water will suddenly become very big and the water will be super hot, and you will be scared every time.
