How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe family that runs this were really lovely, even running out after us to make sure we got on the right bus the next morning. The food was pleasant home cooked and the room was comfortable. The heated mattress covers were much appreciated.
I would have preferred a more traditional breakfast rather than sandwiches. But it was perfectly fine and, given there is nowhere to buy anything nearby, we were thankful for it.

Verified reviewLocation was away from the street which made it quiet and tranquil. Next to the Cingjing Farm. Property was clean. Staff was helpful.
Breakfast could do with more variety. Breakfast was prepacked and brought up at 7.30am. If you wake up late, you will have a cold breakfast. Room needs to have better soundproofing. No lift and no staff to assist with the luggage.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay here — I actually wish I had booked for two nights instead of just one. The staff were very helpful, and although we communicated mainly through Google Translate, they were always accommodating throughout our stay. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the heated bed, which was perfect since the temperature dropped to around 3°C at night during our stay. The location was also great — it felt like a neighborhood right next to Qingjing Farm, which made everything very convenient. One of the highlights of our stay was their hotpot dinner, which cost only NTD 250. It was warm, hearty, and truly one of the best meals we had during our trip.
None.

Verified reviewThe room is big and clean. There are heat mattresses provided. It's great in such a cold place in Qingjing.
Not much food around the location. So, we can only eat at the B&B. Not much choices.

Verified reviewFriendly staff and excellent location
I want to first start off by saying that the stay was good, and most things went smoothly, as echoed by many other comments I read here. But I thought for very long and decided I just want to point out something. The host shows me a very clear example of ‘nice’ vs ‘kind’. Unfortunately he falls into the former category and I will explain why (slightly long read). He was ‘nice’: Yes, he was very warm and hospitable, pouring tea for you, smiling all the time, aaking if you are ok etc. To me, these showed he is nice and hospitable and I do appreciate all these. But being kind is different, really thinking in the best interests of the guest even if it inconveniences you. For context, I agreed to make compromises for certain things, such as waking up for an earlier breakfast so that I match the other guests timing (so that he only had to prepare it once). I also agreed to check out earlier so that the staff can have more time to clean the rooms. To clarify, these things were not explicitly requested by the host, but I totally didnt mind and readily accepted to do them when the discussions came about. But, my gut feeling told me all along that there was something i need to be wary of. It just seemed to me that when talking about certain things, the host would subtly push me into making certain decisions that may benefit him. It seemed like he raised certain things in order to have it his way. And indeed, it was proven (read on). After I checked out, I went to cingqing farm and came back 10am. I nicely requested to use back my same room because my stomach hurt a lot and their public toilet they had on the ground floor is quite dirty so it would be much more convenient to use a room, especially with all the winter wear. The host declined, saying the room is already cleaned. Now, I want to explain why I am upset over this. 1. I made compromises and I think he could too.

Verified reviewsuper friendly host, very hospitable. and xiaohua is so cute. attentive staff. breakfast was nice. can see stars at the terrace if skies are clear. near green green grass land! host will give advice on where to go and what to do. heater blanket was a life-saver! very value for money :)
sound insulation could be better - could hear people speaking right outside our door, and hear our neighbours spitting phlegm in their toilet. water heater takes a bit of time to warm up.

Nothing. Just be aware if you are walking in that there’s a slope of 100-200m length from the bus stop to the property.
