One thing is the hostel’s location, it is high up the hills, we had a bad experience with the taxi driver to reached the hostel.

I think the proprietors should indicate that the stairs are narrow and steep in case the travellers have trouble with it.

This hotel boasts a prime location near the historic 九份 old street, just a few flights of stairs away. We enjoyed a room overlooking the ocean, although the rooms were quite compact, they were kept clean. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast provided was mediocre. 老闆 super nice!

Nothing. everything was perfect and I would really recommend to family travelling as it was such an easy trip and fuss free experience.

It was a very nice experience. They took care of us so much and even lend us some umbrella as it was raining a bit. The breakfast was excellent and they really make sure our kids got something as well that was more appropriate.

A bit hard to locate at first (but that might apply to all the home stays in Jiufen old street as the place is mountainous and has a lot of stairs).

Located quite close to Jiufen old street (although need to climb a few stairs and a bit hard to locate at first). The owners are very warm and welcoming and even offered us raincoats when we left (as the rain was heavy due to the typhoon). The auntie cooked taro balls at night and it’s very nice! Breakfast is nice too

We were only in Jiufen for one night and we really enjoyed our stay. We left our luggage early at the place so we could explore Jiufen. The owner was very nice ( and I believe it was his daughter who had excellent English). The owner even brought us some taro ball soup as a night cap. It was delicious. The breakfast in the morning was also great.

There was a clicking sound above our room during the night, it sounded a bit like a washing machine with something inside it going round and round. I don't think it was the rain. In any case, if you're affected by those sorts of noises consider ear plugs.

Very friendly owner, kindly led us to the BnB. Hot shower and good pressure. Excellent location very close to the old Street and major attractions. Quite a firm mattress which may be to your liking or not.

- The dining area is quite small. Steep stairs. - There is no recreation area or resting/ waiting area in the hostel.

- Great location- short walk to the main attraction street. However if you are travel from Rui Fang train station with luggage, it is best to take taxi as the hostel is located at the back of the mountain of Jiu Fen. The taxi will takes you straight to the main entrance. - Helpful and friendly host - Plentiful breakfast, tasty steam egg

There's a sign saying no toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet, this could be due to the sewage systems there. So you need to rethink on doing your "big" business....Air in the room we stayed was stale, probably due to poor ventilation as the small window is facing the internal staircase.

Location is good, but quite hard to find if you can't navigate well. Very basic Air BNB home stay. Owner not really warm in welcoming you, however they did prepare home cook dessert at night for us. Recommended if you are just staying for a night or two just to explore the place and not pricky about things.
