Freedom Design Hotel was a fantastic find—clean, modern, and comfortable. Our queen ensuite room was spacious and well-appointed. Just 15 minutes from Taoyuan Airport (around $25 AUD by taxi), it’s absolutely worth the short trip for the savings and comfort. Feels like a safe area and no problem visiting the 24 hr 7/11 just around the corner for a snack (recommend the packaged chicken wings! Yum) The staff were incredibly helpful, especially with arranging taxis and making sure drivers had clear directions. We also pre-booked a 6am breakfast and were blown away by the quality—fried rice, chicken nuggets, fried egg, steamed pork, fruit, sweet and savoury bread rolls, plus soy and almond milk poppers. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. Highly recommend for a convenient, affordable airport stay with top-notch service.

Arrived at about 11.30am to be met with an unfriendly checkin girl. No hello - just "passport". Then told me in a cold tone "you can't check in until 3pm"......(which I already knew). That wasn't a very good start. Went to the local department store and returned at 3pm and the man then on the desk was much more friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was very nice with the usual range of foods. Excellent shower!!

In an okay location. Walking distance to a Hi-Life and 7-11 but that's about it. Breakfast was also just okay, but lots of variety, and it changes every day!

Very comfy hotel with great amenities. Staff are very friendly and there's free breakfast, water refill, 24 hour front desk, gym, ping pong tables, and cute puppies!

Only thing i can think of is its location. Not many things to do nearby except of visiting a mall.

Very clean, spacey room . The hotel many amentities including playroom for kids, billiards , ping pong tables and massage chairs. Very friendly staff. Really nice breakfast.

Clean and quiet hotel near the TaiMall. The room was clean, laundry was clean and easy to do on every floor. There were dogs at the smoking area on the ground floor you can pet who are very friendly!

Beautiful place, a touch further from the airport, which was nice not so busy. Large room, great for family! The play room, we spent most of our time there!

My main issue came down to the cost of the place. Too expensive for what’s offered. No hand soap provided though there was an empty dish. A sign in the shower said if water got out of the shower area and caused damage, the guest was responsible, yet the shower didn’t drain properly, so I had to turn it off while showering to prevent water from going over the edge… These factors- especially the sign- cheapened the experience. Not much in terms of later night food options in the area.

The room was very big. Bed firm but comfortable. was provided with one soft and one hard pillow (I guess due to prev reviews). The space was clean. Provided breakfast and coffee was good enough. Heater in the bathroom to dry things out was nice. Couch, table, and lots of desk space was good.

We have to leave at 5:30 to the airport, the given breakfast was a little bit inconvenient to eat.

Well equipped with all the amenities a traveler needs. 24 hour Latte machine in the lobby and a very nice breakfast selection in the morning. There is even a rec room with pool and ping pong tables. A large mall is close by with many options for food and shopping.

We stayed overnight because of proximity to the airport. The staff were very welcoming, rooms were large and well appointed, hot and cold water available in each hallway, juice biscuits etc available in the foyer as was coffee. Breakfast was very good with plentiful choices.

As small thing, but greatly affects a good sleep: the pillows were too firm for me. It would be nice if given both soft and firm pillows to choose between.

I searched very long to find the best place near the airport for arriving and departing with my bicycle in order to cycle Route 1 (I did not want to start downtown). Freedom Design Hotel exceeded all my needs! Large rooms, modern conveniences, good soaking tub, massage chairs in gym, outstanding breakfast selections, free laundry on each floor, luggage storage for my bike case. But best of all were the helpful, friendly staff who patiently answered all my questions (before and after arrival), referred me to an excellent local bike shop just 5 minutes ride away, and even helped me call a farm stay on the southern tip (I don't speak Chinese). I highly recommend and commend the hotel and staff!

Great room and breakfast buffet. The bathroom is very big and has a smart toilet. The activity room has a lot of great facilities, including massage chairs, gym, and kids activity toys, etc.
