Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIt appears I was charged for a couples stay even though I booked for one person. This meant I had double portions at each meal and no option to forego that for a refund. Didn’t really need the extra food and would have rathered to have the cash.
The rooms were exceptional, the most comfy bed and beautiful spa. I especially loved the public women’s baths in the hotel. It was an incredibly special cultural experience as well as very relaxing. The views are spectacular.

SingaporeThe three sets of stairs up to our room made travelling with luggages a challenge. And our room was located on a different building from the main, making it tricky to get to the main building when it rains.
Lovely location, just a minute walk from the Old Street, and less than 5-minute walk from the Wulai Bus Terminal, which made travelling about so convenient, unless you’ve got the rain clouds trailing after you during your travels. Staff service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast + Dinner Half Board made it so much more convenient as we didn’t have to think about where to have these meals at.

United StatesThe lights I thought were on the dim side and the place is accessible with elevators and or stairs. The rooms are in separate buildings from the main building with the front desk and dining area.
The food was excellent and location to the river and shops are awesome. Private room with the hot and cold baths were spot on.

United StatesThe private onsen was great. You could soak in hot spring water in your room while looking out at the stream. Very clean & comfortable. The hot pot was excellent. Convenient location—just off old street & a 4 minute walk to the bus stop/taxi stand

BelgiumThe hotel is in the “centre” of Wulai. The rooms and facilities are a bit dated, but well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For dinner, there are various options of hot pot. For breakfast, one can choose between a Chinese and Western breakfast.

The staff are very kind, bed was amazing, the spa area was to die for. Dinner included was hot pot ( very yummy!) And breakfast to choose from Chinese ( best one) to Western style. The room was everything we dreamed of , had a spa bath with hot spring water overlooking the mountains and river.

SingaporeOnly 2 pillows were provided. I had to use the cushions to hug to sleep.
Location was good. Just next to the old street and main station. I booked a private transfer which cost me 1200 TWD per way instead of using the public transport to get to this place. It's more convenient and hassle free. My view in the room to the river was great. Private onsen in my room. Meals are provided but just basic simple hotpot for dinner. Breakfast was the same. The service staff were kind and polite.

LatviaI wish there were bath robes after hotsprings - it feels a little uncomfortable to put on my clothes after bathing. Two towels were available after bathing, but no bath robes to get to our room.
We stay here each time we go to Taiwan - the location is great, the dinner and breakfast are very tasty, the hotsprings feature 2 saunas and 3 different temperature baths.

TaiwanAC in the dining area was turned on at dinner time only, it was really hot in June, Hot Springs, for the men and women were a little dated, but however, appropriate for the traditional setting
Very close proximity to old Street, close to the bus station, family Mart just around the corner, one of the bigger resorts in Wulai, meal was included with eastern and western styles, people were really friendly. We had a room that slept four people, and the AC was nice and strong.

United StatesThat hot water is metered, and upon request, especially it cuts off at 11, so for those travelers who are night owls can’t enjoy the hot spring, which kinda defeats the purpose.
Real hot spring water, walking distance from bus station to the place. Dinner and breakfast are included. Helpful staffs.

United StatesThis is our second time at Full Moon Spa and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is very conveniently located, right at the start of the Old Street. We brought our young kids with us and they really enjoyed being able to use the private spa in the room. My husband and I loved going down to the adult spa downstairs. I have some dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. The food portions were very generous, and the staff were very helpful.
