Reaching hotel on foot from Taichung Station was not entirely pleasant all the way. The part from Taichung to the canal was enjoyable, but felt insecure after. Recommend to travel by bus for heavy luggage or late night walker. Price was a bit high considering weekday stay and quite a distance from the station.

Forgive us, but we loved because it was a Japanese standard facilities and service which we’re comfortable with. Staffs were polite and eager to help despite of influent English spoken. Easy access by bus. Get off at ‘Taichung Prefecture Hall’ stop. Family Mart was just around the corner. Many breakfast choices and standard taste. Spacious and clean room with window. High power water allowed relaxed and happy time in shower.

Room facilities feel outdated and quite basic. The advertised gym is a simple basement room with minimal equipment, and it was closed for maintenance during my stay.

Excellent location, within easy walking distance to the train station. Surrounded by convenient shops for everyday needs. Spacious room, providing a comfortable amount of space to relax. Fantastic breakfast with lots of options

Very good htl . Exceptional staff at the front desk ..Eddy in particular helped me considerably when I had a money access problem. Room was excellent . Far from the HSR sation but the taxi was not expensive. Local train station approx. 12 min. walk away. All in all I was very happy at the hotel.

The washer and dryer were not well maintained in the basement. Took us a while to figure out why the dryer wasn’t drying due to crusted lint that no one emptied for a while. Maybe because it’s a free service, still a waste of customers’ time regardless.

Breakfast was fantastic with loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Front desk staff , especially the girl were fantastic, helped us sort out an existing tour booking, making phone calls with tour provider and translating for us. Went out of her way to help. Thank you!

Sun moon room which was overvalued

Great location in the centre. Good chinese restaurant - must try ! Connecting rooms were great rather than the sun moon room which the lightings were rather dim

View from room was over a car park. Taichung does not seem to have an obvious centre so getting to other parts of the city a little difficult from here as not close to a metro.

Breakfast buffet was standard Taiwanese selection with fair hours. The ground floor restaurant was good for lunch. Chose this hotel due to location near central train station which was about 10 minutes walk away. Bus stop for Sun Moon Lake also close by.

Gym didn’t have much equipment (no weights) and was in the garage with no windows! Beds were very hard but I loved that - I found them to be quite comfy but others may not.
