The 6-bed mixed dorm is very crowded; the 4-bed female dorm is also small but more manageable. No kitchen use, just water & access to fridge.

Super friendly and helpful hosts. More social than most hostels I've been to in Taiwan. Had a great shallow water scuba dive for folks with zero experience!

A very cosy homestay really, very friendly family. Great beachfront location, only a 10-minute scooter ride away from the main ferry harbour. Lovely if you like to be in a more quiet spot on the island, close to Secret Beach.

The toilets were sometimes all occupied. The hostel is far away from the city so it requires some planning to transport the luggages if they don't fit onto a scooter.

It would have been nice to find information and recommendations about food. The island has many different options but because you always drive past everything with the scooter it is sometimes a bit difficult to decide where to go.

the accommodation is literally 2 minutes away from Secret Beach which is absolutely amazing. It is a beautiful small strip of beach that I had not too many people stop at. In the morning I had it almost to myself and in the afternoon a couple of people joined from time to time. The accommodation itself is super clean and well looked after. The bed sheets were beautiful and very soft and the bathrooms all had very cute and individual designs. But the very best part was all the help I received from the owner via Line. For everyone from countries where Line is not used I highly recommend to download this messenger to communicate with businesses like accommodations etc. Already before I arrived I received a lot of very useful information through this channel. The host booked an electric scooter for me and also signed me up for an amazing diving experience (I don't have a licence but I was still able to go down to 12 meters and see lots of sea turtles and fish). The accommodation also rents out snorkeling gear but can also book a guided snorkeling tour for you. When you book through them you get discounts as well so it is really a great deal. The hostel has a common area downstairs with couches and a kitchen with a fridge and a dinking water dispenser.

Fine for me, but just to be aware that if you arrive at the main harbour, you need to rent a scooter to reach the hostel. I did see a bus several times so that is an option. Another option is to take the local ferry, which arrives at a harbour which is closer to the hostel.

Easy check in, prompt responses, clear instructions, nice location! I stayed during the week when it was not at full capacity, so I had a very comfortable stay in the dorm, with 2/4 nights with the room to myself! I liked the opportunity to socialise with the Taiwanese workers and guests, even if it was limited at times due to the language barrier. They accommodated me well and cleaned the spaces every day. The lounge is nice as a chill area, and there is a kitchen where you can get water and prepare your food.
