Self check-in experience only average (I could not identify any AI within the process) and cleanliness was for the price of the stay quite bad (e.g., many hairs on the carpet).

Location is great to get to know Taipei just by walking. Beds are comfortable and supply for babies/kids was appreciated

The ceilings were a bit low, which made the room feel a bit more cramped, the disposable slippers were a bit too thin even when I was wearing socks, the quilt had a blood stain inside (was fading and didn't need to complain about it as I trusted they cleaned it and just had trouble getting the stain out), and the hairdryer was so loud, it sounded like it would overheat and break after only using it for 5 seconds. The headboard also kept banging into the shelf everytime we'd shuffle in our sleep, since the headboard wasn't fixed onto the shelf or the bed. The door to our room was also kind of fiddly to close/lock and open. There was a washing machine but it would have been great if there was a dryer, especially since we went during the rainy season.

Comfortable, good price, close to a lot of shops and kind of walkable distance to the Taipei Main Station (depending on the heat and humidity in summer). They gave free water every time they cleaned the room (everyday), the staff were nice (when we saw them), and the facilities were complete, having the washing machine in the bathroom was so convenient for us.

They could have included breakfast in the room price. We don't expect anything grand, like a buffet setup, but something simple, like 2-3 pieces of toasted bread with butter and jam, some fried or boiled eggs, and a piece of meat. I guess breakfast is just something we couldn't miss, something that must not be delayed. There are good noodle places and convenience stores near the hotel, but IFINN can go the extra mile to provide just this staple. I look forward to their upgrading in the future.

I like the personality of the staff. They were very helpful and considerate. The check-in was supposed to be at 3PM, but the cleaning lady saw us waiting at the reception after a very tiring journey. Since she finished cleaning the room, she checked us in at 2PM using the AI machine and called the office via intercom that she will check us in ahead of time. The office staff spoke English quite well. They were very accommodating of our requests. I also like that the hotel is very accessible and really easy to find. The beds were very comfortable and we were always provided with water, coffee, and tea. They even wanted to keep changing our towels, but we declined because we thought we should all save water. We will definitely book with them again.

Although the room have windows, they are not very functional like normal windows.

The area is relatively close to everything. 5 min walk to the closest subway. In the middle of old quarters full of delicious food. 20 min walk to trendy hip neighborhood of Zhongshan, 25 min walk to Taipei main station or Beimen mrt. I got upgraded from 2nd night to the big twin room as they have to repair something in my first room. Considering the establishment is situated inside the old building, the interior is better than my expectation. Check-in and check out were automated.

The room wasn’t divided and structured in a way that is easy for luggage to move around. It was very noisy due to street traffic right outside the window. No sound proof.

The AC unit is quite noisy and leaks. The wardrobe is a bit small for 3 people. It’s a bit longer walk to the metro station for an elderly.

It’s a decent stay. You get what you paid for. Even it’s a self-serve AI accommodation. There are staffs available to help if necessary.

Good: - spacious and fairly clean -defent price for value To be improved - smells mouldy - no heating function even with the AC, guests travelling during colder months need to keep that in mind - the pillows were too big and hard on the neck - lots of construction next door which begins early in the morning. Might be difficult for light sleepers.

Thin curtains not great at keeping the room dark (pedestrian crossing outside the window casts light red then green then red etc, throughout the night). Still dark enough to sleep though.

The location of the hotel is very strategic. You can walk around at di hua jie 迪化街 to find something to eat (many foods and drinks). Walk for 28 minutes to xi men ting 西门町 and many convenient shop like family mart and 7-11 around there.

The heat pump broke so couldn't take a shower at night but they did offer me to shower upstairs if needed.

Very big room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, there is a washing machine. Everything was very clean. There is a quite big fridge in the room, courtesy water bottles and slippers. Self check in/out easy to do. 10 mins walk from the metro station. Lots of minimarkets around.
