The breakfast is tiny, beautifully presented but really minimal

This place is stunning, absolutely amazing, I loved every single detail about my room and the house. Very welcoming receptionists too. So clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The character, the attention to detail, remarkable really. Perfect location, right at the end of the commercial street of Juifen, silent all day and night, the views right out of the house are spectacular. My room looked so pretty, the bed was so comfy, the design, the kitchen/living area, so cosy and warm. I should have stayed longer.

The staff were incredibly kind and caring. We visited during a typhoon and they cared deeply for our safety each time exiting the homestay. The breakfast was also brilliant. Having the access to have it at any time in the morning was brilliant too!

The house didn't have big space for passing through.

The staff was friendly and willing to help for carrying luggage for us (seniors couple) down and up stairs. The warmest part was the female staff ( forgot asking her name) walking us out during a heavy raining day straight to the bus stop.

Because it is at the end of Jiufen, you need a 15-minute walk through the old street so travel light or risk dragging the luggage through the crowd like what we did 😅. The good thing is, there's no stairs otherwise it would have been worse.

Rustic place but very clean and cozy. It is located at the end of Jiufen so it is easy to mobilise in the old street and a great way to experience the locals' day-to-day. A simple breakfast of bread, yogurt and salad is provided and we all loved it!

Spacious. We booked the treehouse. Even tho it was about a 7 min walk from the end of old street, we enjoyed the quietness & peacefulness.

The only thing I can think of is that it might be nice to have a pull down blind over the bathroom door because it is made of glass

The staff was very friendly and lent me two chargers for my phone. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. It was also very homey and had a great vibe about it.

it is a lovely place. quite different with other typical hostel/airbnb/hotel etc. I am glad to have the opportunity to spend a night there.

For the price, the room and accommodation were nice. It was ideally situated at a walkable distance from the famous old street. What really made the difference was the staff. They were all so nice and willing to help me with the next step of my journey!

A mirror in the room would be helpful

Beautiful old building, with cute little features throughout but still a nice modern bathroom. Very friendly staff, and the free breakfast is in a cute cafe nearby which was amazing. Really great value, wish I had stayed longer.

AC was a bit loud in the studio, maybe instructions of settings could have helped

I had the pleasure of being able to stay in both in the Studio and the Treehouse. Both are very spacious, and I can see the Treehouse easily host a party of four. I loved the studio for the many windows and the view, bonus was the breakfast with kittens sleeping in the plants outside.

Very nice place, very nice Taiwanese breakfast! I arrived very tired in Jiufen with many suitcases and the staff came to the bus stop to help me. Comfortable and quiet room.

Really nice hosts, lovely room, just enough distant from the Old street to be calm and cosy but not enough to be distant and difficult to access.

I found and killed 3-4 mosquitoes. An insect zapper or trap would be helpful. It's easy to accidentally lock yourself out.

The room was very clean. Humidifier and air conditioning were strong. The shower trim and facet and toilet seemed pretty new. The girl who did the check in was very nice. The breakfast venue was very nice, the breakfast was exceptional.

The lobby had some bugs and spiders crawling around. I was also unable to find where Breakfast was held, and there were no staff in the morning to show me the way (they explained it the prior night, but it still was unclear)

A lot of things to love about this place: - Friendly staff who can speak English - A convenient location, situated near the end of Jiufen Old Street - A large private room with nice ammenities - Soundproof walls, and a customizable A/C unit - Flexible check-in/check-out times - Incredible value, $35 is a steal for what you get They also prepared my room several hours early, which was extremely welcoming and greatly appreciated
