The location of the stay is great. It is close to the center of Magong, about 1 mile walking distance to the center. There are several BBQ restaurants nearby. It is right by the beach with a walking path along the beach. The owner and his family were great. They were very friendly and helped us with booking various tours on the island. Originally we rented a car ourselves, but we were rejected due to the rental company not accepting international driver's permit. However, the owner of the property helped us find a rental that accepts my IDP and got us a 9 passenger van for a reasonable price. There's a huge parking lot (by Taiwan's standard) just by the property so it was easy and FREE to park. The owner also have many connections with local tours, he can help you book tours around the island. We booked two tours all great. The breakfast was good, if you like Chinese style breakfast, rice porridge with pickled veggies, egg pancakes, fried dumplings, stir fried veggies, with sausages and chicken nuggets some of the time, but they also offer toasts with peanut butter and various jelly. They also offer soy milk, rice milk, milk tea, black tea (sweetened) and coffee. The room is small, but enough to fit our family of 7. However, it is just one single room that all 7 of us sleep basically one 4 different mattresses. Bathroom is very simple, and there's no shower curtain or shower area, so need to be careful when showering. The room comes with a small fridge and they gave us bottled water as needed. If you have US style appliances with 3 pronged plugs, make sure to bring an 3 prongs to 2 prongs adapter (without the grounding prong). A/C works well and very nice. However, generally it is very humid. They replace the towel every day also. They offer pick up from the port. They also take you to the port to send you off. I am not sure if they do that to the airport, we arrived by ferry, so we used the port.

The food is mostly carb with little protein, so if you want more protein then you have to look for other options. But it is a very authentic breakfast for the local people. The room is a little damp consider that it is a subtropical island. We did turn on the dehumidifying function and turn on the standing fan to dry our towels every night.
