Expect the room to be extremely minimalist but it's quite cheap so this is not too bad. If you go cycling around the coast, stop off in one of the restaurants as they serve fresh fish there and they do not in Fulong town.

The staff were extremely accommodating with my extra requests. These is very much an economic place but it has what you need and the shops are close by if you need more. I would highly recommend visiting the Starbucks close to Fulong Beach. The view is spectacular from in there. I would also highly recommend renting out one of the semi-electric bikes and cycling through the old train tunnel in the mountain and then around the coast. Also spectacular views.

The bed cover has a bad small, which made me not to use it. I brought with me my own blanket and pillow. I feel a little bit disappointed at the stinks of the blanket.

The staffs are exceptionally kind. On the way to the second floor is filled with paintings on the wall, which are extraordinary! AC is incredibly cool and great. The location is purely superb!

Beside Fulong train station and easy for those rely on public transportation. Can rent bicycle nearby train station and cycling to the tunnel. Also around 10 minutes walk to the beach also. Can watch train from the place.

To be fair, it’s under renovation so it is only just a bed for you to crash and go. So the place has the basic but it is not entirely ready. The room was a bit cold as well (no heating) And you can do your laundry but there’s no dryer. I feel they shouldn’t even charge full price for this, but i stayed there for only one night and it serves the purpose. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The location is very close to the train station so it’s easy to travel.

We have been touring Taiwan for two weeks and this was by far the least desirable place we stayed at. Communication was on the poor side. They said they would not meet us at checkin, but said they would send via Whatsapp the front door code and room info with code by 3 pm. the day we checked in. They did not do that and at 4:30 after multiple texts to them they finally gave us the details but this delayed checkin 30 minutes. Our room had no windows and was about 12'x12' with just two mattresses on floor.... no chair. Air conditioner and WiFi worked great.  The value is terrible for the price. Never stayed in a place with no towels provided. Even in most hostels you can rent one. We paid the same rate we paid for this hostel for regular, really nice hotels, with personal service throughout Taiwan. I appreciated that we were told that we could put our bicycles in the common space on the second floor, but just be aware that you need to carry them up the narrow and steep entry stairs.  The accommodation is like a dormitory for students. Therefore, the private rooms only have minimal bedding... duvet but no sheets.  Shower rooms and toilets are shared. There are no changing rooms with showers, so you have to change clothes on the wet floor of the bathroom. The shelf where you keep your clothes is also small, and if you don't place it in the right place, it will fall on the floor. If you're unlucky, it might fall into the toilet. It was very unpleasant.

They put the mattress protectors above the sheets and don't change the sheets between guests arriving! I get that it's easier for them but I don't think its really hygienic or comfortable. Check out at 10am is also too early.

The communal area is very pleasant, a good place to sit and work.

The room has oddly tall pillows, so I ended up using a rolled-up jacket instead. Also, I'd personally appreciate lockers in the room. That said, these aren't deal-breakers for the cost and convenience.

This place is my go-to for Fulong. Cheap, clean, and located right next to the train station. Beach is a 15-minute walk away, and all of the main restaurants are less than 30 minutes on foot. I generally ride in the night before and get picked up by my dive shop in the morning.
