Jacuzzi/Spa had bugs, leaves. But its understandable as its outdoors with an amazing view.

Jien was awesome and our only regret was not staying longer. Our room was massive, with a king bed so large that it didn’t even feel like we were sleeping on the same bed, and facilities that were so clean and cute. The outdoor onsen/spa was also fantastic and such a vibe overlooking the mountains. Also great location, easy to get to Jiufen and any of the local hiking trails. Breakfast was included and it absolutely slapped. The staff was also so sweet and helpful!

The villa is awesome with sufficient space for 5 pax. Bathroom comes with warmer which is great for cold weather. The jacuzzi is wonderful experience in a cold weather. The breakfast is delicious with 9 different variety of dishes with porridge n bread. Overall experience has been great! Villa is about 10mins walks away from Jiufen Old Street.

Nothing...but we were very unlucky with the weather therefore couldn't enjoy it fully. The nearest village is very small, therefore you are limited to one restaurant or the 7-eleven for dinner. Or you have to travel by taxi.

The Japanese style of the hotel, in a very peaceful environment. Breakfast was very fresh. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is superb.

Room was big and comfy and well prepped with Japanese style design. Bed was super comfy. Toilet had good amenities including a clothes dryer function. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was a hearty well prepared home cooked meal. We went during the weekend which had a wine night that was included. Hotel area was near the usual attractions.

We had to walk up the hill for dinner and the convenience store (in the heavy rain) there were centipedes on the paths and there is a charm in the ruggedness but slightly inconvenient.

It was a typical Taiwanese breakfast and it was very pretty, they have a little bread on the side for those who wanted that. The little spa was cosy and the entire premise is clean, aesthetically very pleasing and zen. Toilets were amazing. It really felt like we were having a holiday! The clouds would cover the top of the mountains making the place feel very special. Kids will love the double storey rooms, space to run around.

There are quite a few steps until you reach the villa but given that it’s Jinguashi that’s expected.

The location is a little hidden from everything else. Hard to get to and from as it is hidden within the mountains.

The receptionist was very nice but it lacks standard hotel services like a proper bellboy etc. Food was okay but there was a very small window for breakfast.

The breakfast is nicely prepared. And the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, close to Jiufen by a local bus and away from too many tourists.

Nothing. The only improvement would be a few more breakfast options for those travelling with children.

A really nice property in a great locations. Great views from the balcony. Wonderful and incredibly helpful staff who went above and beyond the call of duty. I forgot a piece of luggage at the hotel and the staff there delivered it, same day, to my hotel in Taipei City. Incredible.

Not much really..

Fabulous location in a quiet and beautiful setting. The Japanese theme made it interesting Ng and super comfortable to stay there. The staff were very helpful despite there being a language barrier. The local area was a bit short of options for dinner, but you can work around that.
