When you first arrive it might be a bit difficult to find the B&B since some streets look a bit different than they appear on Maps. If you follow the signs that sea "Mountain Sea Bay B&B" you will get there more easily :)

The staircase and the walkway is quite dark when we go back to the hostel. Suggest the owner install some sensor lights for the guest.

The little downside is that the main entrance to the room is a glass door without occulting curtains, meaning no privacy.

I was confused by the name of the place, on booking.com it is in Chinese, then I was given the name Shanhiwan, but the directions were for Mountain Sea Bay b&b too many names, very confusing

The view of Jiufen was absolutely amazing from the B&B and the apartment was very nice. I cannot overstate how amazing and kind Meiyue and her daughter Vicky were. They were really welcoming and friendly and they went above and beyond to help us out and we are really grateful to have met them. They were so extremely accommodating to us and made our trip! We truly had the best time here!!

Very beautiful location in Jiufen! Short walk from the main street (with some stairs, but very doable), very good view and a lovely room and bathroom! Very clear signs posted in Jiufen town to get to the accomodation, making it easy to find :) They even helped us with a free parking space closeby.

The room has beautiful ocean and mountain views. The hotel is close to the old street. The staff were friendly. The non-contact check in was very convenient.

The breakfast is 711 or Family Mart vouchers, so that was a little disappointing. Also, the parking if you have a private vehicle is a little bit difficult. We had a scooter and ended up driving through the market after it closed. We parked near the steps and went up to the laneway to our place.

We loved, loved, loved the view from our room out over Jiufen and the ocean. The property is nestled within all the Jiufen laneways, and walking through them to get there was a really special experience. We also liked that the room had LOTS of hooks to hang things up. All the wood finishes in the room are a really nice touch, too. We also liked that we could check in whatever time we wanted via door code.

When I come.. Google gives me the wrong direction which is the direction is quite far from the should be location. although it is shown 7 minutes walk but it's staircase and it was hard for me to go up with my luggage 😩. Make sure to stop at Jiufen old street instead of the jiufen police station.

It's a good experience to have a house with good views and cleanness. Just a few stakes walk the centre of the old jiufen old town road.

Nothing that I do not like. Just for info: Remember to turn on the dehumidifier when you check-in and leave it on. I guess the place is quite damp or humid that's why they have dehumidifier in place. If you are carrying heavy luggage, you will need to climb up stairs to reach to this place.

The place is absolutely fabulous. Imagine waking up to a mountain and sea view. The room is away from Jiufen Old Street but just a short walking distance. At night you can enjoy the quietness of the place and the cool weather. Will definitely come back if I'm traveling to Jiufen again.

The location is quite out of the way from the main road, had to walk many stairs to get here (with our backpacks). Not sure if there was an easier path in.

Loved the view from the room, we sat and stared out the windows for hours (though it’s a little awkward when strangers walk past in front). The host (turns out he wrote a very interesting book on parenting!) was also one of the friendliest hosts around, giving us a good overview of things to do in Jiufen and even a tour of how the room was designed with local Hinoki wood.

Place was a bit hard to find, better call the offered number or just keep your eyes really open during the day for the signs. ;-)

Very kind owner, everything is super clean. Complementary umbrella, houseshoes, lot of water. This place was perfect for us after a 24 hour journey.
