Suggestion: perhaps useful to add English name to make it easy for English speakers to search. Perhaps "Jiu Fen Shan Yu Hai" or "Jiu Fen Mountain Island Sea".

Welcoming and friendly host! He is helpful with information / suggestions. The breakfast + special local sandwich treat from the host is delicious! We enjoyed the great view from the decks at breakfast and in the evening. The room is retro and quirky. It has interesting artefacts from the family who has lived here since gold mining era. Room is clean and has every we needed. We like the space of the living room to hang out.

Our host was friendly and very helpful. The space, though small, was sufficient for 2 nights. Being able to sit on the deck at anytime to see the superb view was a real treat. The location is extremely good.

It was very tricky to find - especially as we were driving (traffic can be bad in town) - it is on the side ride with the temple gate. Also we were given towels to use by they were tiny!

This is a great little B&B with a two bedroom suite that has great views to the ocean - very comfortable for the two couples staying here. Also nearby to start of the nightime Jioufen area (just up some stairs. The manager was very friendly and even offers a service to go down to get breakfast as most things don't open before 10 in Jioufen

Maybe a night stay is sufficient given the rainy weather in Jiufen when we were there. View should be excellent if the weather was good.

Traditional B&B with friendly host. Bathtub was excellent after whole day walking. Very near bus stop towards Taipei/ Ruifang direction. Few minutes away from the start of Mt Keelung hiking trail.

Not much of grocery shop. So we could not buy vegetables or fruits except for convenient shops, which are pricy.

Extremely near 九份老街. We could drop by anytime and we didn't have to worry about leaving 老街 late. Bus stop near by to take bus to 瑞芳车站. We were given a room with 2 king size beds. Comfortable for 4 of us.

Amazing view from the studio, fantastic location, and exceptionally helpful owner. We got there from taipei on mass transit, but an Uber is also pretty affordable.

There was nothing I would say I was unhappy with for the stay. The only thing I would say is that it was a shame that we couldn't appropriate the places amazing views due to the rain.

Breakfast was lovely! The food was good and coffee was nice we had both a hot and cold coffee which was nice. It was also raining and the host kindly brought our breakfast right to the door for us.

The host is very helpful. He goes all out to explain the places to visit in Jiufen. He also bought breakfast and made coffee for us every day. He lent us his motorbike so that we could go up the mountain to see the views and attractions. He and his family made us feel at home. A home away from home. 👍

I do not recommend if you don’t like the insects. But it’s totally acceptable as the accommodation is located in the mountain.

The owner is so friendly and tried his best to communicate with us. The view is just breathtaking and cannot even be compared with the view from Jiufen old street. Room is clean and cute with historical design.

An incorrect breakfast order was delivered to us. However, when I finally got hold of the host and showed him the correct order that I placed with him the night before, he quickly rectify the issue for us.

Friendly and helpful accommodation host. Spacious beds. Complimentary car parking by the accommodation. Short walking distance to the old streets.

The place was a little hard to hard so might need to contact the owner in advance for clarity. You have to climb stairs to get to the place (but the owner helped us with our heavy luggage so wasn't too bad). Also, would be perfect if the place had one more bathroom or even just a sink to use while others are using the bathroom, but for a quick stay with a beautiful view and reasonable price, it was already great

The owner/host was very helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, we came on a rainy evening, otherwise I can imagine the view to be very beautiful. The owners also borrowed us umbrellas, helped us with our heavy luggage, and prepared shoe dryers (which is very cool and useful) for our wet shoes. The check-in and check-out processes were easy and smooth too.

The bathroom was a little small and sharing amongst 7 people meant there was always someone waiting for the toilet. It would’ve been great if there were an extra toilet or having the toilet separate from showers.

We booked the 2 bedrooms on level 3. Views from the balcony were amazing and the bedrooms + living areas were spacious. There’s a kids play area which my 4 kids enjoyed, as well as many cards, board games, mahjong, karaoke etc to entertain if you’re bored indoors. We loved the drinking station that provided boiling and cold water and little touches like shoe dryer/warmers. Owner was friendly and quick in response. Very cosy. Will stay again and recommend

The place a bit run-down, but such homestay with rustic feel is fitting for such old town

Wonderful sea view right in front of the room. Adjacent to Jiufen Old Street (3 minutes walk). Breakfast provided & were delicious. The landlord, Mr. Li, is very kind & very interesting to talk to. He voluntarily drove me around to many interesting places.
