As suggested in previous reviews, you only receive a very small towel, but compared to the overall experience it is not a big deal, but still memorable :)

Can’t recommend this homestay enough as it’s really looks the same as the photos and it’s so clean, not to forget the strategic location that is closed to Jiufen old street. I stayed in the sea view room and the view was amazing. The breakfast was simple but nice. Will stay here again!

Would have been nice to have the option to book a room with a view, we chose the nicest one available on the platform and all the other rooms were empty for the three days we were there.

Great stay here. Lovely room with balcony. View not good, looking out on the hotel on the opposite side of the lane. No other guests so quiet. Great location, in the midst of everything. But still quiet. Very lovely hostess, good breakfast (fruit, toast or cake, coffee or tea)

I couldn’t be happier with our stay at Yazhu Homestay! The landlady went above and beyond to assist my mother after she injured her foot, taking such great care of her, for which we are incredibly grateful. The house was impeccably clean, and our room was spacious and comfortable. On top of that, the location was absolutely ideal—truly the best spot we could have asked for! I totally would love to come back!

Authentic minsu experience—so glad we booked this! We love staying in Jiufen (many miss the town's charm by only visiting for the day), so we chose a homestay where the owners live in the same house or nearby. Aunt Sue is absolutely lovely. She goes the extra mile, drying our shoes and waking up early to send us off to the airport. Our room was clean and had a balcony overlooking the road (which we preferred over the sea views). It gave us a perfect view of quaint houses lighting up at night and the lively old street below. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with a big toast and drink of your choice. The location is ideal—just a 5-minute walk up the stairs, and you’re right in the heart of old street. Will definitely book this again!

Friends belonging to one of the other rooms were very noisy; arriving past mid night to celebrate birthday was extremely inconsiderate to others who were having their sleep. Overall, we are happy with the owner who did her part asking them to lower their volume when we complained to the owner.

The owner of the property done a good job. We like the breakfast served every mornings. The room is clean & homey.

The owner was extremely nice and responsive, helped us with ordering taxi, carrying luggage, and was just very nice about everything. the location is great close to old town shops and restaurants, the property itself is very warm and nicely decorated.

We had 2 rooms , 1 mountain view and 1 sea view . Both rooms facing opposite direction . For sea view , you can just look out from the window . For mountain view , you have to go to the left end of the balcony and look back . In the bathroom , only a thin face towel (similar to Good Morning towel) is provided as bath towel . Same towel to wipe our hand and face also . I would appreciate if the host could provide proper bath towel . Other than the above , it's still a great place to stay in .

The host were elderly couple , they are fabulous and very helpful . Recommended us where to go , lead us to the nearest bus stop and help us got a taxi driver . Breakfast was yummy . From simple bread toast to their local scallion pancake to glutinous rice and always with a plate of fruit . The sea view is great too . If you can't get a sea view room, u can still go to the top floor open area to enjoy the view . It is actually an open area just outside the seaview room .

The curtain in the shower could’ve been longer, after taking a shower the whole floor was super wet but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. The ventilation system is very strong and dries up everything over night. :)

It’s very close to the Old Street but very quiet. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The lady boss was also super friendly and made our stay perfect. We got served breakfast in the morning according to our wishes. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet enough and we weren’t disturbed by noises at night.

Breakfast is simple but abundant, a toast with coffee, with fruits and home made biscuit snack. Owner even went the extra mile to help me prepare a bouquet of flower and a cake to give my partner a surprise birthday party on my request.
