Owner and staff were very kind, they served special vegetarian dish…just would like to remind that you have to bring your own supplies like toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, shower cap, etc. Overall, it is worth to spend some time here with enjoying your visit to Yilan.

There are not many choices of hotels in Yilan that meets my preference--walkable to train station, economical. So Grand Keching got chosen. They served breakfast that is so good too :)

Tiny bit of mold in the bathroom shower, probably due to previous visitors not leaving the fan on after showering. No major issues.

Rooms were very spacious and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was tasty.

It seems this place has been renovated recently as it's much more modern than the photos. Great location, about 15 mins walk or less than 5 mins uber ride to Yilan train station/transit terminal. It's very quiet at night as it's one street off the main road. The closest self service laundry is less than 10 mins walk (right next to Watson's), very handy. The room was reasonbly clean although there were some hairs on the floor. I The front desk staff responded to requests although not very proactive. Considering the incredibly low price, this place is pretty decent overall.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and proactive. They changed my room to a more quiet one and organised my friends reading glasses which she forgot in another place.

Shower is not separate with toilet which make it wet. Even a shower curtain can help.

-room cleaning upon request -my 2nd night i ask for room cleaning when i came back after a long day it was not really cleaned. Check the bathroom saw my hairs on the floor they made the bed tho refill toiletries and water also😔 -shampoos and body wash are in sachets not really enough -window curtain is not a blocked out curtain😔 -no shower head holder -soap holder keeps falling -no partition of toilet and shower😞

The room is not very clean and the bed is not so comfortable as it can be moved easily. I have to relocate the bed all the time. The restaurant was closed on the last day we stay, the take-away breakfast they offer was too little and not quite tasty.

Staff are helpful. There are sufficient bottle water and coffee which is great.

The shower wasn't separated so the bathroom was always wet. Breakfast was just ok, you might be interested in going for breakfast at one of the local restaurants.
