Top bunk is a bit creaky and feels a tiny bit unstable. It was fine though. Mattress was a bit hard, but nothing to complain about.

The location was what made me choose this hostel. Perfectly situated 2 roads down from wenhua market. Nice common area and cosy beds. There is also a popular shaved ice stall just down the corner.

There's nothing that I dislike.

The mini room was comfortable, breakfast was just next to the hostel, walking to the night market or for a meal is convenient as well as places of interests.

The wifi was unfortunately so bad that it almost counted as non-existing. It is a major drawback if you actually need it to get things done. The lack of actual staff can also be seen as a detriment. You will need to bring the exact amount of cash, for example, and you might find yourself in front of a closed door without a door code if you show up too early and hadn't texted them. It was also not the cheapest place but it was worth it.

The hostel has a cozy little social area on the ground floor where you will most likely meet fellow travelers, making this a potentially social place. I met some very nice people here and Chiayi would have been a much different experience for me if i hadn't met them. Everything was really clean and well thought-through. Free water, tea and instant coffee. Even free laundry for the time being. Night market around the corner. It has a vibe that you will love if the right people happen to be around.

While the hostel's welcoming atmosphere, bright common area, convenient self-check-in, and comfortable rooms were excellent, the lack of a dryer and only one bathroom per floor, despite its spaciousness, proved to be inconvenient.

Flip style trash can inside bathroom. I hate to use my hand to open the trash can in order to throw away used toilet paper. The owner needs to be more careful about the humidity inside room

Bunk bed with curtains, lamp and USB port. Separate showering area for female travelers. Cotton buds and flossers provided. Free washing machine with detergent for use. Shaded rooftop to dry clothing. Very organized hostel, great thoughts and details went into it to make travelers' life easier with adequate instructions. Great location if you want to visit Wenhua Rd night market every single night. So many good food at the market! Great common area on ground floor!

They have a common space for people to chill. There's a night street very near to the accommodations which you can buy food and have it in the living space.

The bunk beds creaked with each movement, not so great for sleep. Only one shower and toilet for the ladies' floor - not a problem if guests are efficient when showering, but when one person used it for 30+ minutes, very annoying.

The hostel is calm and quiet. You self-check in, via instructions sent to WhatsApp. The host was communicative and helpful. I found the mattress thin and could feel the baseboard, but it helped my sore back so I can't complain 😁 the kitchen/sitting area is really pleasant. There are tea and coffee bags to make drinks. There are also lockers with provided keys to store bags (I estimate capacity at about 32L, as my 28L fit easily with a smaller 15L squashed in on top). Once the traffic dies down, the location is quiet at night.

Free washing machine and good drying area. Comfy lounge area which was super relaxed. Good, functional kitchen with everything you need. Boiling hot water dispenser. Free tea and coffee. Good communication on WhatsApp. No contact with staff... everything is done remotely. It works. I could park my bike inside. The hostel hasn't tried to overuse the space with too many people and beds.

Didn't bother me but be aware that there is no actual person on site. The communication is via Whatsapp but they reply promptly and are also happy to give recommendations for food.

15 minute walk to/from train station. Lots of amenities right out the door. Small, clean and cosy. Easy to meet others as the common space is not too big.
