Would be a bit more convenient if receptionists speak at least a bit English, however a very mild inconvenience. Great stay besides that!

We arrived at 2.15pm and were advised by reception that check in is not allowed until 3.00pm. The made us wait until exactly 3.00pm in the reception area. I asked at 2.50pm if it was ok to check in but was advised not until 3.00pm. The female seemed to make it personal, so this was not a good start. Photos of reception staff attached.

Breakfast wasn't fantastic but was a homely spread. The area for eating was really cramped and had us sharing tables with other guests. Facilities were old and they only had the one (really slow) lift going. Four people couldn't fit in the lift with bags. We had a stroller too so it took a long time to get an empty lift in the morning to get down to breakfast.

The location was superbly accessible, right beside the old Taichung rail station so it was just by one of the places we wanted to go! - it had markets going all day with little pop up shops. It had a 7eleven close by, a familymart a little walk away and a nice big 11 storey mall (taroko mall) a few blocks down. Children's play area was nice to have to let kids blow off some steam as parents get laundry done.

Room pretty small, but we knew there was no window

Fun room with surround sound audio and disco light show, because why not! Breakfast offer was okay. Location is excellent next to big train station.

Could have provided an extra pillow as comfort.

The hotel is located just opposite the Taichung train station (not HSR). Not noisy at all though they provided ear buds. Within walking distance to 7-11, Family Mart and even Miyahara! Even the toilet has a bidet! Hotel also has coin washing machines and dryers in the basement. Excellent!

Mosquitoes in the room in the winter season. Lives up to its name of “forest”! Only 1 lift Have to arrange time for breakfast and request room service everyday.

I booked a room with 2 double beds and a sofa bed. At check-in, the staff insisted that the sofa is just a sofa, not a bed and did not want to convert it for us. We discovered that it could have been converted. Buffet breakfast was limited and I was surprised that there's no hot tea (i had to bring tea bags from the room). There was only 1 tiny lift so the wait was always long.

Very family friendly and had amenities for kids. Location just opposite the train station was fantastic. Bath tub was huge, kids loved it!

Only way to communicate with the staff was via google translate, but that was the norm in all Taichung

It would be even better if the staff could have more local knowledge. One of the front desk staff did not realize that Taichung City has MRT 捷運. Another one gave the wrong direction (and later, we found our way through Google Maps)

The location is excellent, and the rooms were very comfortable. My parents were happy with the rooms. The staff did their best to help.
