Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamTowels are not included, and you have to rent one for $50 per piece—we only found out at check-in. Slippers are also not provided, and walking barefoot on the bathroom tiles was not a pleasant experience for me. These little things took away from my experience and made me feel like the hotel wasn’t worth the price.
The hotel was clean and nice. Room was pretty big and comfortable. Staff at the front desk spoke a little english but they tried their best to help with our needs.

SingaporeThe rooms are not that soundproof. Had kids screaming and talking loudly outside the room and no soundproof at all. Needed an extra pillow as the pillows were too soft and had to pay NTD100 for the extra pillow!
Location is decent and room is comfortable.

LithuaniaThe mattress on the bed is very hard and sensitive, when the person next to you turns, the whole bed jumps, it seems like an earthquake is happening. Neighbors get up very early and are very noisy from adjacent rooms.
Good place, a modern hotel, with a clean room.

NetherlandsThe beds were a bit hard for my 70+ year old mum.
The kids room was a great addition to this (appealingly) new and clean hotel! The rooms were very comfortable, location within 5 min walk from the Alishan Forest Railway and lots of restaurants and cafes around. Staff was very helpful.

MalaysiaLocation is a bit far from the station.
It's a newly constructed building with modern design, pretty easily to identify the building. Clean interior did not notice any sound isolation issue.

GermanyThe most awkward breakfast experience I had in Taiwan. You have to preselect from four choices. Them breakfast is delivered to your room. It looks like acquired from a fast food stall. The toast was not fresh and totally dry. The coffee was lukewarm. The other food looked so unsavory, that I trashed it. A really bad experience. The second day, I skipped the breakfast and ate out.
The hotel is conveniently close to the railway station.

AustraliaI attended at 3pm when my train arrived, to drop my bag off and to see if the room was ready.. There was a hard rule about check in at 4pm and it appeared to be the case even if the room was ready and made up. That's a disappointing start when many other establishments are more flexible and people have often had a long trip to get to the city. . The large bed had two pillows only and that is insufficient- I am lucky I was on my own on this occasion. The 'quiet street view' advertised is a stretch. What was in my room was a mostly frosted glass window that had a small opening and looked directly into the rooms at the local hospital across the road. The room seemed quite minimalistic in style and lacked for a four star facility- no bedside table for example.
The room was clean. The mattress was comfortable. The staff assisted when I had trouble with the room key.
