There were a lot of bugs in the area but it is just the environment of the town, once you are inside the room I did not see any bugs. You also had to pay in cash so remember to bring enough

Really enjoyed the stay the owner was wonderful, apparently her grandparents owned the place and she decided to renovate it into different rooms. The owner reach out to me the day before on whatsapps to give me clear directions on how to get to the accommodation. This is also how she continued to contact me to give me details I would need for my stay. She was super sweet and gave me lot of recommendations for food. When I went to pay her the accom fee, she also offered beer for us to try 🥰

I didn't know communication was phone only and that you had to pay by cash. I had to withdraw at a convenience store ATM and pay the 100 NTD fee. Other than that : perfect

The staff (Candy) was really kind and thoughtful. The room was beautiful as well as the view from it. There were various free snacks in the room with a kettle. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, I didn't want to get out of it! The bathroom was pretty with a curtain separating it from the room, which as Candy said is a traditional Jiufen housing design. The room is cosy. Wonderful, would definitely recommend. Even though there is a bar upstairs, one can hardly know it's there - it doesn't disturb one's peace in the room at all (we stayed from Sunday till Monday). We were also able to put our luggage in before checking in which was very convenient for us.

Loved the design of the room, aircon was great, there was hot water. Host provided a lot of free snacks. We could access the rooftop which was really nice.

I like everything about the room. The view is so magnificent and so relaxing. The room even though is small and not that fancy design room, but is very cosy, they put in the details in every corner. And very clean. They even provide the snacks and cup noodles for you, so thoughtful. She even let us in the room first without collecting the payment first, as they were not there yet. Very grateful for that as we were carrying heavy luggage and we got there earlier than the check in time. She is very nice and kind lady.

This place is awesome. Communication was strong and easy via Whatsapp with the owners. The room itself was lovely and had a great view of the ocean. It was admittedly small, but cozy! The water pressure was strong and hot, AC and WiFi worked well. They even provided snacks!

Everything about M Bar House is perfect! Comes with lots of snacks, noodles, to keep us full! Check in was swift, within walking distance to Jiufen Old Street, lovely Lady Boss who gave us free beer too , will come back again next time!

Nothing really. I just found a couple of bugs but this wouldnt be unsual given the location is on a mountain.

Convenient location and right next to old street. Friendly owners and keep you updated with the status of your room. Simple and fast check-in and check-out. SNACKS… I have never seen a property that stocked up a lot of snacks which was super fun to try and helpful when feeling peckish!

The host was a wonderful lady who provided us with a lot of information about the surrounding areas. She even arranged for transport (self-paying) from Shifen to the accommodation. My friend and I enjoyed the place tremendously. I will definitely return to this accommodation if I were to go back to Jiufen again. The unit we stayed is modern in terms of furnishing yet rustic in terms of the wall features. It was supposedly a place owned by the family for generations. We love the experience.

The hotel was pretty near to the old street, and easy to reach by bus station. The lady was super nice and happy, she guided us step by step to the hotel. I came pretty early and they allowed me to drop off the luggage before checking time. They have a bar upstairs, so the drink was worth to try ~~

Charming guesthouse located in a perfect area of Jiufen, a few minutes on foot to bus stops and right next to Old street and the famous teahouses. Absolutely loved my stay here. Candy the owner is SO welcoming and gave super easy directions to get to the room, step by step instructions for check out and anything else needed. The room itself is clean, comfortable, tons of welcome snacks included and mine had a huge window with an amazing view of the ocean.
