Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Well appointed and very helpful staff. We were on a cycling trip and based ourselves in the Manho for a few days. Plenty of space in the room to unpack and keep our bikes

A brilliant stay at the Manho Hotel. The facilities were exceptional, and the hotel was maintained to a high standard. Staff were welcoming and helpful – I would highly recommend to anyone requiring the perfect base to explore Taichung.

Honestly this is probably the best hotel I've stayed in ever for this price point. The room itself is spotless and the bathroom is massive with a bath, shower and bidet toilet! Has Dyson hairdryers and a Marshall Bluetooth speaker so you can put music on whilst bathing. Daily cleaning after midday so you'll always come back to a clean room. Both me and my partner both agreed that this is the best hotel we've stayed in. Also the staff are so sweet and helpful, even bringing our luggage up to the room when it was ready after we had left it because we were a few hours early.

We stayed here for a couple of days while visiting friends and family, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly kind and communicative—I felt really well taken care of from start to finish. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, and I especially loved the bathroom—it felt so luxurious! One of the highlights was definitely the massage chair—such a treat after a long day—and the massive TV was perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Overall, a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would absolutely return!

Every space is beautiful, cozy and calming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with luxurious details. The bed is super comfy! I normally have a hard time sleeping in unfamiliar beds.

It’s not a dislike and we knew it’s probably a space limitation, but if breakfast would have been possible at the hotel premises that would have been great.

The soundproof was not perfect. We could hear noises from next door when they checked out in the early morning.
Room is clean, bed very comfortable, quite spacious bathroom. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

It doesn’t have private parking lots. Guest has to look for parking space by self. Although the hotel pays the parking fee to guest, but it is a little convenient to me — it is a stranger place.
Room is very clean , bathroom is wonderful. Provide a multiple functions water machine.

Had a top floor king room with massage chair. Couldn’t use the tub since there was a water issue in Taichung. Couldn’t even use the bathroom at a nearby Starbucks. Room is beautiful and new but soundproofing is really poor. You can hear the neighbors throughout the night.

We have to remove our shoes and change to disposable slippers at the lobby before going to our room. This was inconvenient as it makes changing shoes difficult as well.
