Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThis hostel felt like a little oasis in the middle of Taipeh. You can absolutely tell that it was created and designed to be a beautiful and safe place for women because it is so well thought out. For example, they provide towels, sanitary pads, very good hair dryers, multiple washing mashines, cotton pads etc. There is a separate grooming room next to the bathroom which is far enough from the dorms/bedrooms so that the noise of hair drying doesn't disturb anyone. And everything is beautifully decorated and clean. I felt very comfortable as a woman in this hostel and you can tell that the other guests felt comfortable too, everyone's relaxed and often smiling at each other which is rather rare in hostels nowadays. And I absolutely loved my little room with a big panorama window! The girls working at this hostel are also very lovely and helped me with anything I needed.

United KingdomNot a big fan of the round hole into pod. Unable to cook much as no extractor fan despite having hob and kitchen equipment. (No cooking with even a small amount of oil) 😥 Otherwise all good.
Great location, so near bus & train station, and loads of places to eat. Very clean hostel. Pod beds comfy, good black out curtain. Staff lovely. Showers great with fab pressure and hot, Love the Japanese style toilets 😊, not a huge amount of room tho. Great bonus of free washing machine/tumble dryer, thank you. Loved that it is female only. Kitchen area ok.

SingaporeThe toilet and shower cubicles are narrow for some. And it takes some flexibility. When entering the room, the area had many luggages, because understandably it is hard for girls to fit their luggage into the cupboard. But they try not to block the walk way. Some days it felt like too many girls for the place to contain, but I guess I understand that they'd want to fit as many beds and cubicles as they can to maximise space and profits. If you're not comfortable with letting go, compromising being considerate and sharing that much, this may not be the place for you. But if you can adapt to the dorm style culture, this place is good value for money.
Clean, comfortable, secure. There is a good water dispenser available. I appreciate that they sent the nearest exit from the station prior to my arrival. It would be nice too to add that the lift near Z4's exit only operates during office hours and is closed during the wee hours like 5-6am. The nearest escalator is K12 as someone shared. But you also need to check the hours it runs, if not just deal with the stairs.

SwitzerlandCommon rooms are quite small, so ideal for solo travellers, maybe not for bigger groups of friends.
Very affordable and everything you need and more. Complimentary washing, drying, sanitary pads when menstruating, shampoo/conditioner and towel. The rooms/beds are very small, but clean and comfy and all you need overnight.

United StatesThe hostel is a very short walk from the station you arrive at if you take the express train from the airport. I was able to get a late check in, and this was an amazing place to stay coming straight from the airport. Despite being a hostel, my room was very quiet and very comfortable. The bunks provide enough privacy to be comfortable sharing a room. The facilities were all very nice and I enjoyed having a clean, quiet, and comfortable place to crash coming off of a 27 hour travel day.

AustraliaThe space is tight, especially the toilet bathrooms, not enough space to change and put or hang clothes when shower. My clothes fell into the toilet and got wet, I ended up put it in the bin.

Singaporethe door lock doesn't work very well, some did not manage to open the door. the room is not very spacious, it would be better to keep your luggage in the locker. But the place is definitely value for money.
They have all the essential facilities. Washing machines and dryers are also available for free ! The environment is conducive The location is also great, near taipei main station, less than 10 min walking distance. there is also museum nearby and many food stores around. The staff are also very helpful.

Singaporethe hole into the bed space (mine is lower bunk) is rather hard to get in and out from. use up all my flexibilty everyday to get in and out.. lol
bed and comforter was quite comfortable. the staff were very friendly! location was good.. those who need the escalator instead of stairs should exit from K12 (Z4 exit is staircase only), walk towards Mcdonalds which its along the same street. you will see Poya and next to it is the entrance up to lvl 12 :)

JapanThe toilets and showers are together so you can’t just use the toilet or take a shower. Although, there was never a problem of waiting while I stayed. Just something to be aware of. Some of the hairdryers wouldn’t work either.
Really nice place and people. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels and this one definitely ranks highly. The beds are nice. The individual lockers and towels are a bonus as well.

GermanySince only female stay in this accommodation, there was quite a lot of hair in bathroom facilities. However, the staff did their best to keep everything clean - they even sanitized the slippers.
One of the best hostels I‘ve stayed in so far. Staff was very nice, bed was comfortable, and the morning coffee they served made it perfect!

United StatesIt's not something that I didn't like, but just felt that the dryer took longer than expected. I waited for my clothes for close to 2 hours for them to fully dry.
I loved the location, it was close to everything and lots of food options. I was in Taipei running some errands and was able to get everything done and do some sightseeing as well!
