The hotel should have been very splendid. Unfortunately, with the hot season, the price is SO HIGH, but the enjoyment on the facilities is so low, with the expectation so high. It simply uses the beauty of the lake and the location. to attract the tourists and raise the price. I know there were some efforts in building the hotel. However, with the price similar to other high-end hotels in the Sun Moon Lake area, this hotel needs a super upgrade to meet with its price demanding. The front desk is really just a desk. All the documents, computer cables are visible. It didn’t meet my expectations when I saw the price when booking it. The key card is really a “sigh”. The pocket to carry the key card to give to the customer is a joke. It is like a recycling paper with the pencil marking again and again after the guests everyday.

It’s very close to the entrance of the lake. The location can be the best. The staff is nice.

It's far from the port. Not convenient if you are traveling by public vehicle. We rented a car so it was easy.

We read some good reviews of other guests saying the breakfast was good. However it was disappointing for us and we didn't enjoy the food. We'd rather have fewer options but better quality items.

We had a car so the location was not an issue for us - It's around 2km from the town centre where all the shops/restaurants are. They ran out of indoor parking so we had to park on the side of the road outside/next to the hotel. It wasn't a big deal for us. We really enjoyed the magnificent lake view from our room. The room itself was clean and the bathroom was spacious.

Very unclean. Smelled old and gross, couldn't get the smell out opening the windows. The windows were so dirty it ruined the view of the lake. Bathtub had hairs and dirt in it. All the counter tops were clearly uncleaned. The A/C condensated so much it covered the floor in water and got my luggage wet - or maybe the roof was just leaking? The whole room felt gross. This would even be bad for a hostel - really, really disappointing for a $200 USD hotel

Difficult to get to no cross walks busy road. No English sign on hotel. Rooms were musty and dated.

View was stunning of the lake. Balcony to sit out and have morning coffee.Get off the around the lake bus at the Bamboo Forest closest stop.

Room quality was not so good, was a lake view but newly decorated with the bathroom sink in the bedroom and poor quality of construction (shower didn't drain, soundproofing was poor, laminate flooring poor quality.

View from room was good, lovely porridge snack provided in the afternoon in lobby.

Neglected and no care put into it. It felt worse than a dormitory. The room, while large, is badly designed. The entrance to the bathroom is blocked by the raised platform of the bed.

Rundown and badly maintained. This hotel was new just 3 years ago. The neglect is obvious. The receptionist checking us in was indifferent. Next to her a child was playing a video game on his phone loudly.

I hate the bright light in the room at night. It comes on at night when you try to sleep. I guess a safety regulation thing by the government as I have seen it in other hotel rooms. To get rid of the light you have to pull out the key card. To keep the air cool I opened the balcony door and was kept awake by mosquitoes. Slept very little.

About 1.7km from a town. Staff had minimal English. Have to book for breakfast and dinner with few alternatives. Design of rooms is very sensitive with lights etc, but absence of common sense. No wardrobe. No coat hangers. No chair. No desk. Light so soft you cannot read in bed. You can sit cross-legged on special underfloor lit area to look out the window, but the only seat to look out is the side of the bed or the toilet. If you are older, toilet has the only light that you can actually read by!

Everything was good. No complaints

The view from the room is exceptional. The beds are comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It seems like they are still busy with some renovations, but it didn't bother us.

No complaints, really. It did the job for a night.

This hotel caters to locals only, so as a foreigner communications was somewhat harder. The area is quite touristy, a popular destination for the Taiwanese, but the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the town center on the North shore of Sun Moon Lake. It was a long weekend and many places were booked. The room on the 7th floor had a half view of the lake, which was very nice.

The staff spoke English which is great being in a smaller town. They were extremely helpful and kind with assisting with questions and giving information on things to do during our visit. Breakfast and option to pay for dinner they provided for breakfast was great and fairly priced. The facilities was very clean and modern as well.

For the price per stay the rooms are really old and in dire need of refurbishing. The location is not very ideal as it is a 30 mins walk away from Shuishe and the round-the-lake bus that reaches the hotel only comes almost once every hour.

The only hotel with available rooms during peak season. Staffs are friendly as well. Ok for 1 night stays.

Seems like they suffered a bit during the Corona times. Halls in the hallways etc could be repainted etc. There nothing around the hotel. You need a car or scooter to go out for dinner or a beer in the evening.

The size of the room was really good. Packing was free for us, even it was stated differently in the describtion. For breakfast a wide variety of Asian food was offered. Also toast, butter and jam.
