I didn’t like that you need to have your room key card in the bed areas to use the lights and charging ports. Also, there was no AC in the bathroom area across the hallway or in the laundry facilities upstairs and on the first floor, so it was very hot. Even in the bedrooms, it took a while for me to cool off. Additionally, there were at least 14 beds in the female dormitory room, which was new for me, but it was fine for the two nights I was there.

I liked that there was free breakfast and plenty of space in the bed areas. They also had free lockers to use—just be careful how you use them, since there are instructions, and if you don’t read them carefully, they can make loud noises if you mess up lol. It’s close to public transportation, and the staff are really nice!

It is hostel, but also has separate rooms in which we were. Room was good and big, and also had very good view to Taipei 101. Breakfast was OK. Location of the hotel is good and it is very close to one night market.

A bit awkward having to go out to the lifts for the toilet in the middle of the night

Awesome little cabins for beds that gave you your own space. Locker set up with shelving and power points meant it was easy to keep your stuff sorted.

Reception staff is very nice and can speak fluently Mandarin who gave me the very detailed and clear introduction of the facilities, particularly to prepare the breakfast 30 mins earlier due to I have to check out and leave early in the second day.

Um. Nothing comes to mine. Everywhere I looked, everything I interacted with was in gentle relaxed order. That's amazing for a hostel/hotel.

Location - I drive up to Taipei from the south. I'm close to the least expensive car park I know in Taipei. (still seeking FREE parking spots - I'm onto a lead! Wish me luck. There's a nearby park and market street. bike and subway get me anywhere, fast. AND it's the only Taipei location I've stayed in where it's restful for me to arrive, to be there, and to stay. I'm grounded and at ease for all Taipei offers. ALSO they improve ALL. THE. TIME. This time: morning buffet butter was room temperature (last time straight out of the fridge, so melting was an issue for me.) They seem to have caring capable eyes on everything, and so they deal with tiny things, fast.

No shelf in the beds to put phones on at night. Outlets were at the foot of the bed. I'm just being nitpicky really. I've stayed in hundreds of hostels and this was easily in the top 5.

Omg this hostel was amazing. Female only dorm. Privacy curtains. Clean showers and toilets. There were air vents in the beds! And counters with mirrors to quick get ready if you needed. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a mixture of asian foods and breads.View of 101 from the dorm window! Comfy beds. Lockers were good with separate number locks. Staff was really nice as well. There's a bar right outside the 1st floor entrance which is super cute. 7-11 across the street and only a few min walk to Raohe, so great location!

The size of the room was really great. I loved having a couch to relax on. The view of Taipei 101 was really nice too. I slept really well each night thanks to the blackout curtains. Shower was great and the bidet was a cherry on top. Breakfast was fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again.

The shuttle service from the airport seemed excessive. A huge van arrived for only me. Too expensive and a waste of fuel. Next time will arrive earlier in the day and take public transport.

The staff!! Ian was super knowledgeable about local things to do like getting a transportation card and finding a yoga class. Comfortable room and bed, good shower, and breakfast!!

There are a lot of people in one dorm room though ... I stayed in the female dorm room, which was quite calm. No big critiques about NK hostel to be honest.

Great location, and a nice breakfast buffet is included in the price. Good value for money. Moreover, the lockers are spacious (fit a whole suitcase).

The arrival at reception was a bit "cold", not a smile, not a welcome, just a simple "hi", it seemed they just couldn't be bothered with what they were doing. The guys explained some basic rules and asked for my credit card to confirm the booking, a few seconds after I realized that he didn't even ask me if I wanted to use cash or card for payment, they just assume everybody pays by card. The price I paid was TWD 1180/night, a bit pricier than other hostels, I only stayed 1 night and it was fine, but I would have had second thoughts about booking here had I decided to stay longer, it depends on one's budget really. The toilets are located before the reception, a bit inconvenient if using overnight or straight after a shower. The location of the hostel might not suit everybody, some other people would complain it's a bit too far off the main central area, personally I was fine with it but then again, like for the price, I only stayed 1 night.

This was my 1st hostel during my stay in Taipei, I arrived at Taipei Main Station from the airport, I then took the MRT (Green Line) from Beimen station, got off at Nanjing Sanmin (5 stops), from here it's a 10 minutes' walk top. You access the dorms/showers area + your own dorm via the card you get from reception. You get your own locker (inside the dorm), which is big enough for a normal-sized rucksack or a small-sized suitcase (the one that fits into the overhead locker on a plane) and you access it with a 2-digit combination (3 digits would have been better); the dorm was slightly air-conditioned throughout the night, quite a faint noise, and not too cold, actually quite pleasant overall. If I remember correctly they turn off the dorm lights from reception at 23:00, I was ok with this. The showers are right across the dorm, 3 showers (maybe 4?), big showerheads, there are sinks as well. The sleeping pods have an amazing size, they're big enough for 2 people and are very comfy, have their own light which is also actioned via the card and are provided with a proper curtain for privacy. The other excellent thing was the breakfast buffet, with savoury and sweet options, almost like in some hotels. Tea & coffee are available all day from the huge kitchen. Cleanliness was good throughout. The hostel is on the 5th floor, where there's also a balcony should you wish to smoke, and from which you have a view on Taipei. There is also a laundry on the 8th floor. My Internet connection was slightly on and off, unsure if it was the hostel's wi-fi not working properly, it might as well have been my mobile. Check-out at 11:00 was great. It is located at less than 10 minutes' walk from the Raohe Night Market, one of the main ones in the city.

Stayed here for two days during my first trip to Taiwan! Was worried about staying at a hostel at first but this facility exceeded my expectations ☺️ Staff were friendly, bunk beds were roomy, breakfast was also really good. Bus station just a few steps away although you'd have to walk for around ~10mins for the train station. Will definitely stay here again when I come back 😊
