Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWhen entering the room, the window was open and the temperature was unbearable hot. The air con took a long time to cool down the room. Overall, the air quality in the room was really bad and had a weird smell (smoke, incense, dust)

GuamThe main door didn't have additional security latches and there wasn't a room safe. The area was dark and full of loitering people. There was no one on the main floor to help us (the hotel we found was on the 3rd floor). The room lights were easily accidentally activated by your head while sleeping. The mattress was old and provided little support.
The beds were large and the staff made sure we had water.

South AfricaLow shower height. There is no shelf in the shower to leave your toiletries. The aircon was a bit weird, but it hits the bed.
Bed was comfortable. The room size was great. Black out curtains. Proximity to MRT was great. Good size bathroom.

TaiwanThe pictures looked really big and bright on the website, but the reality is that the room is very very dark. The room I booked is big and with a desk, but they gave me a very small and gloomy room without desk. I asked to change one, they did. I did got the desk, but the room is gloomy any way because of the carpet, the wallpaper, and the curtain. So, if you like bright room, don't go for this one.

United KingdomIt couldn't be 3 star hotel. Disappointed about its environment amd quality of the room. The entrance is an old and narrow household building sharing a small elevator with all sorts of people who lives/or perhaps not live in the building. Only to the third floor you will see the reception, basically a desk. We booked the biggest room, it is spacious but window towards a closeby building without any sky could be seen. Sheets are white and clean but the bedding inside seems not. Carpet, wallpaper and curtains are very dark, doubt the cleaness. Toilet seems newer than the rest of the room but broken already in many areas with small bugs busy ups and down on the wall.

CanadaTotally overpaid on booking.com from the advertised price on outside of the building. Even on the 7th floor, i was awoken with loud fights happening on the street at 4:30-5:30am. No shower. Only a bathtub with a wand that sprayed water all over the bathroom. No conditioner. Room seems dated compared to the photos.

South KoreaThe rooms were kind of dirty and each day we had to get refreshes of towels and things on our own because there was no room service. However, for the price of the hotel, it was kind of expected.
The staff were really friendly and willing to help us out. The location of the hotel was also super convenient for navigating the city.
