Fabulous hotel and owner. We were made to feel very welcome and were really looked after. There was a plentiful breakfast. The room was spotless with comfy beds. I would highly recommend.

Room and common areas were very clean. Good Taiwan/Chinese style breakfast that varied a bit day to day. Owners are very kind and friendly, offering suggestions and tips, and accommodated for misc off schedule requests (late pickup/check in, earlier breakfast). Highly recommend!

It worked fine the first day but was in and out for the next two. (Note: we did not mention this and I'm sure they would have fixed it if we had . . . we had cell phone data so it didn't really affect us.)
The Otter Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel, overall, was clean -- our room was spotless -- and the location was perfect. Our room/bed was comfortable and, even though there were people next door, we never heard them. The breakfast had lots of choices and changed a little each day we were there. The hotel rents scooters (and cars, though we didn't need one) at really reasonable prices, and the location, in Jinhu, could not be beat! What made this stay particularly special were the people who run the place. (Note: They only speak Chinese and we only speak English -- our daughter was there to help translate sometimes -- but that didn't matter.) The woman who runs the hotel was even concerned, the one morning we didn't come down in time for breakfast, that we would go hungry and was waiting to make sure we were okay. (We were meeting people for brunch that day . . .but her worry was incredibly sweet.) She was engaging and endearing and everything you want in a host! One other thing: they picked us up at the airport -- it's about 15 minutes away -- and shuttled us back after our stay . . . at no extra cost!
