The host provided detailed directions to the building with photos and it still took me a little time to find it.

The building and room I was in was very, very nice. Very comfortable with nice decorations and warm colors. A separate bathroom that was large and clean. Very good AC. The common area had comfortable, rustic furnishings and a kitchen area. It was away from the nearby road and very quiet. And very close to the Old Street.

The inside of the house was absolutely beautifully decorated, it had such a cool vibe! The location is right at the top of the old street which was stellar, but it does take quite a lot of stairs to get there from the bus stop (but the owner warned me of this beforehand so it was OK). The contactless check-in process was seamless, and the owner was super responsive— they sent really detailed directions with pictures before I checked in so I knew exactly where to go. they also provided breakfast in the fridge which was really great.

Very nice little holiday home at a prime location, literally just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Old Street. The directions provided were sufficient and helpful, breakfast was small but nice. It does make sense to unload your luggage close to the property before looking for a parking space though. Lots of stairs and steep roads make carrying bags not the most comfortable exercise.. Restaurants in the vicinity close early so make sure to plan accordingly.

It is not possible to store bags in the house but you can leave them in a nearby cafe that the host coordinates (which is amazing by the way, you should try!) after 11 am when it opens.

Amazing and unique stay! One of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts are very nice and friendly. Every detail of this house is thought through, and you can spend hours by just looking at all the photos, posters, books and little things you can find. Perfect location for a staycation, and there is lots of beautiful nature around in Jiufen area to discover :)

The fact that the property is within the old town area means there are limited parking spaces nearby. The owner left very good and detailed instructions of where to park the car, including invaluable advice of packing a small bag in place of a big suitcase to stay overnight.

Unique property within walking distance to Jiufen Old Street (the main tourist hot spot). A little difficult to find in the dark when we first arrived but that added to the sense of adventure. Unique in the sense that it was converted from an outhouse or old kitchen of the main property, and retained some of the characteristics (in a good way).

Located at the top of the Old Town stairs, the accommodation is conveniently located if you're travelling by foot / public transport and looking to sight see / hike in the area. The house is beautifully curated and promoted locally produced teas, soaps etc. The bathtub in our room was perfect after a day of hiking.

It was not clean. Everything was in Chinese, no explanations anywhere in English. Breakfast was not good. Besides you cannot find simple things like a water boiler in the kitchen. Not user friendly.

Everything! House is stunning Bed is comfy Facilities amazing- shower, bath amazing. Movie projector in the house was a cute touch Snack bar if you get hungry Perfect home cooked breakfast prepared for you. Styling amazing. Location perfect! Quiet and peaceful and under 5 min walk to Jiufen old street. Staff were friendly and helpful and always available to communicate with. Can not fault a thing!!!

Self check-in instructions on how to get into the apartment were clear but no instructions on how to get to the room. Name of room wasn't marked on room door.

Very few insects inside, sealed apartment. Comfortable with dehumidifier and AC. Cool interior design, access to kitchen and cozy living room with projector! Good view of mountain and close to Jiufen center and bus stop.

This guest house was the perfect getaway for a weekend outside of the city. It was very clean, comfortable, and included everything that we needed for a night away. We loved the cozy vibes and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood as well as the all the nature surrounding the guest house. The ocean and garden views from the rooms were beautiful as well. The staff was very easy to communicate back and forth with. They were available and answered quickly via LINE. They also sent very detailed instructions regarding the location of the house, where we could find parking, and what we needed to know about the home ahead of time. The breakfast was excellent! We were very impressed, but to be honest, our one complaint would be that the portion size of the sides (granola for yogurt and cream cheese for bread) were a bit too small. There was no way for 2 people to share them. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay, and we hope to return again soon!
