1.The lack of on-site parking is a drawback. Although there’s a free partner parking lot about a five-minute walk away, it becomes quite inconvenient on rainy days. 2. One of the front desk staff should be mindful that their breath had a noticeable food odor. 3. When I made the reservation, it clearly stated that it included breakfast for two adults and one child. However, at the front desk, I was told that only two breakfasts were included and the third had to be purchased separately. This significantly lowered my impression of the hotel.

The lobby offers free iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. For a hotel at this price point, the breakfast was surprisingly good. The seating area in the lobby doubles as the breakfast area, but it’s also available for guests to relax—though the lighting is a bit dim. It was raining heavily on the day I stayed, and a friend came to visit, so it was very convenient for us to sit and chat in the lobby. The room is a bit small, similar to hotels in Japan, but it has everything you need and is quite clean. Extra blankets and pillows are provided, which is very convenient for families traveling with children.

My only criticism is that the room and bathroom were quite small. We were 3 guests staying in a Deluxe Quadruple Room (2 double beds). The room was clean, but small with all of our luggage. The bathroom was small, and we had a "shower over the bath". The step up into the bath was quite high, so might not be suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The beds were ok, but my son is tall and did not quite fit vertically in the double bed.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. One staff member (Una) was amazing, and helped us to arrange a tour to Gaomei Wetlands with a cheerful driver at a very reasonable price. She always helped us with a smile, and would write destinations down for us in Mandarin so that we could show taxi or bus drivers. There were two larger roads nearby that had multiple buses along them, which made travelling around Taichung quite easy. Otherwise, the immediate area around the hotel was great - a short stroll to shops and restaurants, and a comfortable walk to the Botanical Gardens (which had a cool glass house) and a large science museum. The buffet breakfast (which we had included) was very good, with some vegetarian options. Overall, the hotel was very good value for money. It is not a luxury hotel, but you certainly get good value for the price.

Pretty clean and new, breakfast options were sufficient for vegans as well. There’s a gym, washing machine, dryer and ice making machine, microwave at the basement making it convenient.

* Wifi should be Upgraded, i call counter for help , she ask me try again and again , but my laptop till can’t join your wifi , even i came back at night they support technician but that guy also can’t settle that wifi problem. * Drying Machine at B1 need to upgrade , * Lobby toilet always closed for maintenance, need to going down and waiting for Wc . * aircon always auto closed when we slept .

* Staff in the morning is ok , but night shift lady look not friendly to help when we need some help .

The breakfast room is small, but not super small. They don't want people to wait, but this also means that you have to choose an exact time when do you want to have the breakfast from the offered alternatives. The alternatives are not always comfortable.

Some staffs have less service-mind than expected and lower than hospitality level.

The senior lady maid who made my room is very polite. Some staffs were trying to help Bed is comfortable, many pillows , room is clean

The hotel was far from any MRT stations. In addition my shower had drain files which I asked about but nothing was done about.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the free coffee and tea and washing facilities were nice. The bed was comfy. Very close to the science museum and walking distance from some nice night markets.
