Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Taiwan1. The soundproof can be improved. The seperation of the rooms seems to be just only a plank. 2. The toilet is super tiny, even for a thin girl. 3. The shower tube came off for no reason and I had to fix it myself. 4. A bit of distance to travel from and to the nearest metro station. (10 minutes-ish) 5. No bottled water provided in-room.
1. The hotel is quite new and the design is good.

United StatesThe carpet on our floor had an unpleasant smell, and we didn’t like that the bathroom didn’t have a door. The room was also pretty small.
We appreciated the kindness of the staff. The hotel is also a 30 minute walk from the hotel, which is helpful considering the hotel does not have a gym.

AustraliaWe changed rooms on the first night due to building noise on the 9th floor. The staff facilitated a change to the 5th floor easily and without argument so that part of the process was easily managed.
Located well for our needs. Staff friendly and helpful when asked. Otherwise non intrusive. Great reasonably priced breakfasts

Hong KongAt breakfast, the staff was impatient when I ask for hot water The walls are not sound proof, can hear our next door neighbour showering late into the night Cars passing by in the street below was very loud all night
Breakfast was disappointing, for 2 days, there was no milk or sugar because they ran out

MalaysiaSubway - not so near. Bathroom - wouldn't share a room unless you're both super close - the WC is too small - door can't be closed properly. WC and shower cubicles are side by side - The half screen sliding door only closes either the WC [which you can't anyway], or the shower. No locks. No privacy. No toiletry holder in shower cubicle. Everything on the floor. Breakfast - Was there 6 days. Breakfast same old same old daily. After seeing the same scrambled eggs every single day, I asked for a fried egg - nope, they couldn't do it. Salad bar - same tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber. No cereals. Lone Male staff/server there a bit of a grump. The female staff were wonderful.
Excellent location. Quiet street but had two 7-11's and one Family Mart nearby. Walkable to busy main street with lots of restaurants and shops. Cabs and Uber easy to get. Rooms nice and spacious, beds comfy. Shower was good. Nice toiletries. Coffee machine and water kettle in room. Staff generally all pleasant - front desk staff were excellent. Housekeeping excellent. Windows openable a tad bit for fresh air [great for claustros like me].

Hong KongThe toilet was ridiculously small. I'm 5 feet tall, and I couldn't close the door properly. I had to pull down my pants, sit down, and then close the door.
I chose a larger room for our family trip, and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Dyson hair dryer and Crabtree shampoo and body wash were nice add-ons.

ItalyBreakfast is tasty, but not great variety and the freshly baked goods aren't that fresh. I wouldn't say it's bad, but could be EVEN better. Going back to Taipei, I would consider staying at this hotel but I'd skip breakfast.
The hotel is brand new and has overall a nice fresh style. Rooms have all the little comfort you need, shower has very good water pressure and water temperature is perfect. Toilet is also a modern Washlet, Jap style. The room was bright and had very comfortable beds, perfect for a good night sleep. On top of that you really have little cozy items such was a hairdryer, a coffee machine, a kettle etc. Location is also absolutely fantastic, as you're pretty much close to everything and multiple metro lines.

FranceThe building is new but you can already tell the construction is not great. Walls are paper thin so noise from neighboring rooms was quite high. Construction in front of the building started early, even during week end.
Good location for this hotel, clean rooms and comfortable bed.

CanadaIt had the strangest bathroom which was very annoying. They had taken the shower space and divided it into the toilet area and a shower. The space in the toilet was too small to close the door when sitting down so no privacy. Also, I partially picked the hotel because they had self serve laundry. But there was no detergent available, even to purchase from the front desk. I had to go down the street to a laundry place and get detergent from them.
It was a modern hotel near the Chiang Kai Chek memorial. Lots of restaurants nearby. Not too far from transit.
