The staff is very lovely and thoughtful. Beautiful daily breakfast is being prepared and served, and you can tell the effort they put into the work to ensure a healthy breakfast for the guests. Clean and comfortable room, with plenty space for a family of four (both kids are teenagers). Cute arrangement of the room with the LEGO wall. Staff also gives us a lot of information to make our visit easier. Thank you for your hospitality!

Surpassed expectations. Fantastic room that the kids did not want to leave! Wonderful owner, good breakfast and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible accommodation - perfect for a young family. Very very clean and amazing attentive host. Breakfast healthy and delivered to room. Location a short walk to main pier area. We had such fun in the Dino room.

Walk from bus stop a little busy - along side of main road but once used to this it’s okay.

We were extremely impressed by the host’s hospitality and attention to details! The home-made breakfast was very delicious. Because we stayed two nights, the host even did laundry services for us (free of charge)! The b&b carried a large collection of business books and our room also contained many children’s books as well. My kids loved the fair-themed room so much (they didn’t want to leave). We will definitely stay here again when we visit Sun Moon Lake in the future

It was pretty cold when we went but the room had a space heater which did a fantastic job. Breakfast was delivered to the room at 8:30am each day with a good selection of foods on the plate - the host explained this was due to a flu going around to keep the guests safe instead of sharing the breakfast room. Good location just a short walk from the main town centre. Host was very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced room and we loved the big window where we could see the monkeys in the trees outside!

Some wear and tear on the room (scuffs on the bed frame etc.). Not able to choose breakfast foods - get what you're given.

Great location, modern and comfortable rooms, fresh breakfast and friendly staff.

The property is clean, comfortable (supersized beds!) and quiet (posted quiet-time rules; other guests all seem to be polite and considerate). Walking distance to a great restaurant (日月餐坊), the wharf for the boat ride, and bus stations. Most impressively, the warm and caring hosts! They are very personable, and of course knowledgeable of the area, they answered all of my questions regarding tour options and have great recommendations. They also have the most popular tour tickets (Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, boat tour) available for the best possible discounts for foreigners.

Best place among 5 different places I stayed in my 11 days in Taiwan. Stayed at the Pony Room and my two girls loved it There were books and toys in the room. We stayed for two nights and I was surprised that they emptied the bins and changed the towels on the second day. The bun for breakfast was delicious. Location was relatively near the Visitor Centre where the start of a bike trail is.

Would be awesome if there's more variation for breakfast.

Very good hotel. New and modern, big room, well-appointed with loads of amenities. My room was super-quiet, so best sleep ever. Owner very helpful and kind, delicious included breakfast in the morning. Walking distance to restaurants and bus terminal.

I had a lovely stay at 5boat B&B. The bed was spacious and comfortable, the AC was very efficient at keeping the room cool, and the bathroom was clean and practical. I also enjoyed the unique sour fruit juice they offered on arrival—it was a fun touch. The staff was genuinely helpful and pointed me toward a good bike rental spot, steering me away from the less reliable options nearby.

Breakfast is only served from 8:30am which was way too late for me. On the upside, they gave me a couple of vouchers to get a small breakfast in the nearest 7-eleven. Also my bedroom window was purely decorative and didn't let any light in, which made the room a little claustrophobic.

The kids room were so fun and spacious- the bathroom was well thought out

The 10 min walk was not ideal and traffic on the street involves fast cars and no sidewalk so can be worrying at night

Very nice room, decorated tasteful, hosts man and very kind wife, they did everything for me feeling welcome and was helpful recommending what to see around the Lake and also other cities in Taiwan, thanks 🙏

Hotel is super close to the main bus stop and lake biking route. The hosts, Chad and Linda, are incredibly helpful—not just with activities and tickets, but also with public transport and tips about Taiwan overall.
