Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe floor right beneath mine (I stayed on the 5th floor) was a hair salon and quite late into the night was a consistent loud banging. Though I have a high tolerance to noises, the banging noise from the floor below was quite irritating especially since it was very loud and happened right into the night. After calling the lovely staff at reception, they were very apologetic to inform us that the hair salon stays open until 12-1am on Fridays. Other than that, there were random points in the morning where I would hear loud bangs on the walls and of course since the rooms have no windows I would advise setting an alarm for the days you need to be up early. Some spots in the room could've done with a bit more cleaning but other than that, amenities were changed daily for me and I enjoyed the comfiness of the bed.
The staff both at the reception aswell as the cleaning staff were incredibly nice. The location of the hotel is also very convenient and whether it is a train station you need to get to, food spots you want to try or just to do lots of shopping, this place is probably somewhere you should consider. Daily cleaning of the room if needed and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe at all times of the day both leaving and coming back to the hotel - mainly because to use the elevator you needed a key card. My main standout though would have to be the people who work at this hotel. No matter what questions I had or my few requests, they were very accommodating and made my stay in Taipei one to remember.

PhilippinesThe building’s fire alarm went off twice on different nights. We feel bad for the hotel staff but they really should get that fixed.
The location is excellent. It’s in the middle of Ximending. Lots of choices for food and places to go to.

SingaporeYou will need to take a lift up in a building to the restaurant where the lobby is. Staff was flexible and helped me with changing my accommodations, as i had faced typhoon kong rey when i was there. It was situated in the heart of Ximending, and with Don Don Donki just nearby. So it is a heaven for shoppaholics. Rooms are okay for the price we paid. Not very big, but it was also a cheap price, so dont expect the world. Able to sleep in, anyways we would have been out the entire day had it not been the typhoon.

Hong Kong- Not exactly a proper hotel with facilities/ amenities but good enough for a short stay and on a budget. - the rooms are not soundproof, can hear someone snoring at the adjacent room and someone’s morning alarm clock.. - a bit dark interior deco though may appear trendy to some.
Convenience, excellent location, very accomodating and helpful staff.. The reception desk is always manned which is important to visitors not familiar in the area.

United KingdomMy room did not have any windows and the lack of natural light might not suit some travellers. I do believe there are rooms with windows. Not all lifts from the ground floor go to the rooms (as the building also is used for other purposes/businesses like a chilli hot pot place). Take the ones on your right or middle to go to the rooms.
This hotel is very central and only 5 minutes walk to Ximen metro station and 20 mins walk to the taipei main station (A1 stop). Hotel staff was efficient including cleaning staff. The room size was good for a solo traveller or even for a couple. There is a safe in the room and a small fridge. Basic tea and coffee with a kettle. A clothes rack. A sofa and small table. The bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom was adequate size with fast to come on hot shower. Basic toiletries provided like toothbrush and paste, shower gel etc.
