Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe noise in the bedroom from outside. Woken up up at 5:30 each morning hearing people talking outside and traffic. That’s why we wanted a quiet room but obviously didn’t get one. The windows are poor and sidnt keep the noise out.

SingaporeThe window view is only at the shower area and closed off most of the time.
The location is a plus. Many eateries are within walking distance, and the MRT station is within a 5-minute walk, which brings you to many tourist attractions. Since it is a suite setup, it separates the bedroom and study area, which I find good because I can do some work and not disturb someone resting.

MalaysiaThe overall room experience was disappointing. The carpet was noticeably dirty. Additionally, the lack of windows made the room feel somewhat claustrophobic. We stayed for 5 nights and we could have asked to change the room but we didn't. While the stay was manageable, the outdated feel and cleanliness issues might make me consider other options next time.
It offers good value for money with a convenient location, making it a solid choice for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and service was satisfactory.

United StatesWhen we got into our room, all the AC’s were going on full. We tried to heat the room up, but the heaters weren’t working. We ended up needing to call the front office and they offered us a small heater that we had running the entire time we were in the room. Unfortunately, the heat only extended to the sleeping area, so the bathroom was really cold. Also, the rooms had a funny smell, like paint? We couldn’t tell what it was, but it smelled chemically.
It was a great, easy to find location. Checking in was easy and quick. Rooms were set up nicely, the partition from the office to the sleeping area was a nice touch.

United States1. Our nightly fees were quite high due to the New Year’s Eve pricing already. We were traveling with our two children (ages 5 and 2) and the front desk asked if we wanted to pay $600NTD a night to receive extra towels and blankets. For a total of ~$27,000 for 2 nights, I couldn’t believe they were still going to nickel and dime us for extra towels so I could dry off my children. We added the fees, since 4 people need 4 towels. 2. We had a very busy trip and turned on the housekeeping light. When we returned, we noticed we did not get fresh new towels and our bed was also not remade. We then saw the small card (the size of a business card) that says anything that needs to be washed/ refreshed should be placed on the sink or in the tub, and if the bed needs to be remade, the little card needs to be placed on top of the bed. For $600 a night for an extra towel and Blanket, and roughly $13,000 a night for a stay, it was very disappointing to return to a room that was not refreshed. 3. For a 4 star hotel, they need to invest in newer hotel room card keys. The RFID on the cards are clearly not working consistently. During our stay, we did NOT keep the cards next to our phones, but the cards did not consistently work and we had to get new hotel card keys twice. We encountered at least 2 other guests who were stuck in the elevator because their card did not allow them to get to their floor, so this is a problem that affected multiple people not just us.
We enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the cute personalized note from housekeeping.

SingaporeNo clear instructions on how to use the jacuzzi causing misuse and some messy splashing of water. Was told toilet bowl cannot use toilet paper and again no instruction given.
Location was good. Near MRT station. I got a nice big room (almost like a suite with a jacuzzi tub) tho with small windows. The super high bathroom with jacuzzi was very nice.

SingaporeNothing much really. As mentioned below, price is reflective of what we got.
Great location. Many food options within 5-10mins walk for all 3 meals. MRT was easily accessible although the major shopping malls were about a 10-15mins walk away. The room fixtures were kinda getting on with age, but having stayed twice in Tango this trip in 2 different rooms, there were no weird or musky smell experienced as feedback by other traveller's. Things are getting worn, but still clean and functioning well. Great value for money in my opinion. The 6th floor has a ice maker and a water dispenser with options for Hot, Warm or Cold water. Very useful amenities for guests.
